Mr. Phan Wannamethee is the sixth Secretary-General of ASEAN. He served from 16 July 1984 to 15 July 1986. Mr. Wannamethee was a Thai diplomat. He currently serves as the Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society.

The ASEAN Services Forum
Regional Integration of Services in ASEAN Countries: Progress and Challenges is happening today and tomorrow (June 18-19, 2015) at the ASEAN Secretariat. The forum is organized by the ASEAN Secretariat, Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) and The World Bank, with support from the ASEAN-Australia Development Cooperation Program Phase II (AADCPII). 

The forum will have substantive discussion on Services Trade and Integration issues among policy makers, officials and other relevant stakeholders. The forum aims to promote greater understanding of the challenges ahead as well as emerging trends in ASEAN region.

The fifth Secretary-General of ASEAN is Mr. Chan Kai Yau from Singapore. Mr. Chan was a prominent Singaporean diplomat before assuming the position from 18 July 1982 to 15 July 1984.

Today’s ‪#‎ASEANWonder‬ features the Inlay Lake, which is located in Myanmar. The Inlay Lake is located in the heart of the Shan Plateau, which is 900 metres above sea level. The Lake is 22kms long and 10 kms across and is famous for being home to different ethnic groups, such as the Intha people, who are famous for their leg-rowing. The Inlay Lake has been inscribed as the first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve from Myanmar.

Yesterday’s question on ASEAN quiz was "Which country in ASEAN has the most number of islands?" The correct answer is: a. Indonesia. According to a 2002 survey by the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN), the Indonesian archipelago has 18,307 islands, which makes it not only the largest archipelago in ASEAN, but also in the world. The second largest archipelago in the world is the Philippines with over 7,000 islands.
