The +JetBrains Resharper simplification suggestions can be a good way to get easier to read code and even to discover new language features. Following it blindly is not a good idea though.

Given the this LINQ expression:

if (!list.Any(el => el.Type == Type.Primary))

Which reads to: If list doesn't contain any element of type Primary. Makes sense.

Resharper suggests this simplification:

if(list.All(el => el.Type != Type.Primary))

Which reads to: If all of the elements in the list is not of type Primary. Suddenly the construction is a little more convoluted, but hey! We got rid of a single character! Totally worth it!

... Not really. Optimize for readability folks!

Zylinc now has an opening for a combo developer doing both Android and iOS. We don't expect knowledge on both platforms (although it will be appreciated) but in time you will be working on both.

Bat from the local zoo. It's not that I didn't bring my DSLR, but as it was equipped with a Tamron 150-600 lens, in this case my trusty Nexus 6p was the better choice.

Fun and games in Java...

I have two classes:

public class A {
public static A get(){ return new A();}
}

public class B<T> extends A {
public static <T> B<T> get(){ return new B<>();}
}

Now, this doesn't work, since the signature is off. B.get() is a generic method while A.get() isn't. So I have to change A.get():

public class A {
public static <T> A get(){ return new A();}
}

Now everything works, and A.get() doesn't change behaviour in the slightest... But what effect does the change have on A.get()??

I just attended a 12 hour photo marathon in Copenhagen. 12 hours, 12 photos, to fit 12 categories in order. Definitely a challenge, but a fun one!

Oh Windows, let me count the ways in which you were completely useless here...

1. You blocked a file that I wanted to decompress.
2. You did not give me an option to unblock it.
3. Upon clicking on the help text you search for "how to get help in windows 10"
4. In Bing!

I just got a notification about a poll on Google+ pulled from the What's Hot stream... A notification! I don't really look at that stream because it's mostly useless to me and now they start spamming the phone with notifications?! WTF Google, get your act together!

And just to make the experience go full retard, when I tried to post this from my phone, the app crashed. I'm not impressed.
