's original ask for window placement/management on Mac OS X, since that time I've found a few options.
I currently use ShiftIt (https://github.com/fikovnik/ShiftIt
), it's free/open source with fairly basic functionality but it does exactly what it says it will do (and what I need).
Tyler WM (http://www.tylerwm.com
) is another option, $9.99 in the Mac App Store, I have not tried it.
) is a cheaper option that seems to fit somewhere in between ShiftIt and Tyler WM, again I have not tried it but they do offer a free trial.
