It's hit the point of desperation. When it's 120 degrees inside the car when the windows are down, driving at 70 MPH...we have to get the AC fixed in both van and car. I hate doing this, but we are out of other options now. My doctor doesn't want me in the car for more than 10 minutes...and is a 20 minute drive away. Please. Help.

It is presently 113 degrees outside. The picture below is the temperature inside my van when we got in this afternoon to go to the doctor's office. It reads 155 degrees. When we arrived at the doctor's office after a 20 minute drive with the windows open, the thermometer read 120 degrees.  The v...

These are good friends of mine. Medical bills are evil and horrible. Please help them. Because I like them and I like seeing kids get the treatments they need. (As the mom of 4 special needs kids who also has a chronic illness, I know just how difficult this is.)

A friend's daughter was injured at birth (so was mom), and her medical bills have drained their bank accounts.  I know this one to be accurate; please check it out and donate if you are so inclined. (Despite the title of the page, you aren't actually doing anything but looking by clicking this link.)

It is hard to admit when your between a rock and a hard place and this is where we are finding ourselves right now. My daughter's medical bills have been piling up and are overwhelming us and we really need help.

This is my brother in law and his wife. They desperately need help while they're going through this - please share this if even if you can't help them. My nieces and nephews need their mom back in top shape and a roof over their heads.
Hello friends and family, On December 23rd my wife Barbara was diagnosed with Stage 1 uterine cancer. We are very lucky in that it is treatable with a hysterectomy and she won't need further treatments. Due to the amount of time both of us have missed wor...

I have many comments I could make on management there. None are complimentary. This is why we no longer live there.

I'm rather fond of the rough men and women standing guard in the night. Hard work. Thanks for doing it.  Especially the folks I know personally...too many to tag in one post!

It's Official: Soon is Now
A little over a year ago, a community came together in a show of support for a studio and a game that had brought them together.  They gathered by the thousands in an online plaza to show that, even with the game distributor’s lack of responsiveness to vari...

I can't consume artificial sweeteners. At all. They trigger extremely severe migraines.

Spread this word. I'd like to keep drinking milk - and it's absolutely, totally unconscionable for ANY company to request hiding ANY ingredient that has been medically proven to cause adverse health effects, which artificial sweeteners have been - they are known migraine triggers for many sufferers.

Comment on this. Comment loudly, politely, and remind the FDA that it's their job to protect the consumer from scum like this.

I think so, but I tend to stay away from FB unless someone tells me to specifically go there for something (like right now).  That's insane, though.  I think some people just act that way just to give themselves a false sense of superiority.

22 dogs perished from heat exhaustion or possible suffocation here because they were kept in a 9x10 foot room together. The owners had left town for a vacation, leaving the animals that they were responsible for in the care of Austin Flake, Senator Flake's son, and informed many of the owners that their dogs had run away after the dogs had perished instead of telling them the truth. The owners of the dogs had to contact the County Sheriff's department in order to get the truth and claim the bodies of their lost loved ones. No vet was ever contacted for any of these dogs, and only one of the dogs' owners was told the truth about what had happened to his dog. A dog named Shadow was severely injured and needed to see an emergency vet as a result of chemical burns from unknown causes after staying here a week before this happened. The owner was never contacted, and the wounds became infected. He returned home covered in paint with his paw swollen and injuries all over his body. Fortunately, Shadow is making a good recovery. The same cannot be said of a Sheltie who had to be put down due to severe illness and heat stroke less than a week after staying at Green Acres. Other dog owners are reporting that their dogs suffered extreme dehydration and appeared drugged or "out of it" after being picked up earlier than planned. Never, ever take your pet here. The owner has lied to many dog owners. The dogs' owners inspected the place before boarding their beloved pets there, and were never shown this room. They did their full due diligence in attempting to be sure that their canine family members would be well cared for. The owners of Green Acres claimed that they didn't take more than 6 or 7 dogs at a time. They had 28 dogs in their care, not including their own, when 22 of those dogs died. One escaped and was later killed by a car, making the death toll from this one event a total of 23.

The current management is HIGHLY anti-child, to the point where they have told EVERY parent in the complex that their children, regardless of age, are not allowed to play outside without their parent actively supervising them. I STRONGLY recommend not renting or purchasing from the current management, as they are also refusing to repair items such as screens which they removed from units without tenant permission two and a half months ago, stating that it will not be replaced *despite* previous management having promised to replace said screens. DO NOT MOVE HERE. MANAGEMENT IS DISCRIMINATORY AGAINST CHILDREN AND THE DISABLED.
