There are only 48 hours left in the Knight News Challenge on Networks. Here are some last minute tips and updates about the challenge. First, we’ve mentioned that one of the challenge’s criteria is the ability to leverage networks to generate interest in your proposed project. Google for Nonprofits originally shared:

Thanks for joining our hangouts on Tuesday. We wanted to share some key themes with you:

Theme 1: Why should we get our organization on Google+?
Google+ allows you to share different information with different audiences by using Circles (http://goo.gl/WRZjS) and connect to your supporters and donors on a more personal level with Hangouts (http://goo.gl/mbdXO). It also allows your supporters to be your greatest advocates. People can speak up for your organization through the +1 button (http://goo.gl/WRZjS), +mentions (http://goo.gl/PFvTj), Google+ badge or icon (http://goo.gl/BztQf), or by adding you to circles (http://goo.gl/WRZjS). You can also share YouTube playlists with your followers and you can share content on Google+ through Gmail. Over 1B people use Google every day and we’re making it very easy for Google users to connect to your organization.

We'll be sharing more themes today and tomorrow so stay tuned!
