Re-vision - You are not alone...

Coping with vision loss can be frightening. Most people with visual impairment have useful vision which can be used to perform daily activities, continue working and pursue hobbies.

When faced with visual impairment:

1.Learn about the functional and long term implications of your eye disease.
2.Ask your eye doctor on special optical devices, non optical aids and other electronic devices which could aid your routine activities.
3.Receive training to use your glasses and low vision aids correctly. Your eye doctor may have you work with a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist.
4.Using certain assistive devices and adaptive tools you could continue recreational activities and hobbies which influence our happiness, physical health and adjustment to vision loss.
5.Build friendships and share experiences with other people who know what you’re going through – but gain invaluable tools and techniques to help you live independently, despite the changes to your sight.
