My wife and I are just back from staying here for our ten year wedding anniversary. Highly recommended!! Hotel is in a good location, opposite a Metro, close to the Seine, Musee d'Orsay and in walking distance of Eiffel Tower (25 min walk). The surrounding area is lovely. Boutique shops and decent places to eat. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. My French is poor but their English is good. Our room was fantastic. We had an executive double with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower. We could not have hoped for a better experience. Thank you for making our anniversary that little bit extra special.

December 2011; central position in Paris. Perfect for tourists. Payed 250 euro per night for 1 room with double bed , breakfast included. No special reductions found because of new year eve (Paris is full) Room 309 space ok although small passage to bathroom. Bathroom with shower , no bath. Modern look. Good matras. Bed quite small (length and wite).minibar ok but no ice. Quite room but smashings doors from 7 AM. Breakfast very good! With fresh orange juice. Good service. With national and international newspaper. General service realy very nice people. Sauna and fitter availAble ( not testsed). Metro - rue du bac - at 50 meters. General quotation 8.9/10.

Wonderful Hotel and staff. You're not in the "touristy" center with all the other tourists, but you're right in the center of the city. Right next to a Metro station. An easy evening walk from the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and Notre Dame. Seemed to be a very safe area. Our top floor room had great views. Bicycle rental racks right out front also. Boutique shops and cafes within a block or two.

Mon Dieu! I lived in the Hôtel Cayre as a student when I was 18 between high school and college. I loved it for all the reasons people love it now - location, friendly staff, etc. From the pictures, it looks like everything's been modernized (hopefully the tiny little elevator too). It's within walking distance of fabulous sites on the Left Bank, and the Metro station out front takes you everywhere so easily. These reviews have inspired me to go back for a visit now 48 years later.

My wife and I spent from 30 Sept to 8 Oct (8 nights) at this wonderful hotel. It is located on the Left Bank, but close to all the primary tourist sights in Paris, and the metro is literally right out the front door. We chose not to get the pricey breakfast (looked good however) and instead ate at a pastry and coffee shop two blocks away. Our room was more than adequate in size, and we had a great view of the Eiffle Tower from our 7th floor window. At night, the Tower is is bathed in normak lights, but on-the-top-of-the-hour flashes with ramdon blue stobe lights...really neat! I must express considerable appreciation for the attention and care of the hotel staff, especially Mr. Franck , who personally cared for our visit. Some reviews have indicated the hotel lacks a bellman, but one was available upon our arrival, and we saw him again and again during our stay. Some say pricey, but given the Euro exchange rate, and the fact that this is a centrally located 4 Star hotel, it was not out of line with outher similar Paris hotels. There were plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. One thing we did, and it was set up by the hotel, was take a day long bus tour to Mt. St. Michele, a thousand year old abby and fortress located about 4 hours from Paris. It is an amazing place, and I highly recommend if time allows, all should take this tour. It cost about 165 Euros each, and included bus transport, rest stops, a three course lunch across from Mt. St. Michele, and guides and translation, of course. I certainly hope to stay at the K&K Cayre on our next visit. MB2
