I've been taking a deeper look at Go and its convention of stating the type after the name of a variable. It seemed strange. Then the documentation pointed me towards this - http://c-faq.com/decl/spiral.anderson.html

I really cannot complain. It's just different. That's all.

Mini rant: I don't understand why one would put a list of bugs in the main release page. Specially when they aren't serious enough to make people question if Kubuntu should be used. They are just normal bugs. All software has bugs. These random 6 bugs were chosen (one of which is not actually valid, and was reported against 15.04) since they are on launchpad where you aren't actually supposed to report KDE bugs.

A release is a time to highlight all the good things you're doing. Not focus on the negative bits. Also, if you must focus on the negative bits, then do that properly. I'm sure I can find worse bugs.

Baloo just gained some more introspection utilities. We can now see how much space each individual part of index is taking.

While these names are somewhat cryptic, with this we can start optimizing for size. Plus, maybe in the future we can give advanced users more options for customization. Don't care about file deletions, okay! We can decrease the size of the db by about 30%.

"KDE's Subversion server to Git. At the time I started on that project, the KDE Subversion server was already the largest in the world at 800k commits. By the time we began the conversion, it had 1.1 million commits .."

I love the fact that KDE is so large that people can also use it as a test bed. Eg - Subversion -> Git conversion, Bugzilla.

A nice review of KRunner. In my biased opinion, krunner also performs file searches rather beautifully.

+Rohan Garg - You might find this interesting.
Iceland strikes again! This paper proposes a radical change to the fiat money system. It wants to get rid of the fractional reserve system. No more money by debt from commercial banks. Only the central bank gets the privilege to create money. Wow. http://www.forsaetisraduneyti.is/media/Skyrslur/monetary-reform.pdf

UPDATE: for a TL;DR you can read this telegraph article. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11507810/Iceland-looks-at-ending-boom-and-bust-with-radical-money-plan.html

We've spent years splitting up kdelibs and now we have all these frameworks. Why is that I'm still compiling khtml every week? :(
