What is a warrior?

A warrior is someone on the path to self-mastery who is overcoming obstacles to become more both physically and mentally. A warrior is dedicated to their cause and works hard regardless of setbacks.

The TFW 8 Week Warrior challenge is designed for warriors who aspire to be more, and who are willing to work for it. If this sounds like you, come kickstart your physical fitness to match your mental toughness.

The 8 Week Warrior Challenge is a safe introductory fitness program that produces RESULTS.

We provide you with the structure and support you need to make rapid and safe progress towards better health, lean muscle, and fat loss including:

-Daily Motivational Stories to pump your mind!
-Strength and Cardio Workouts to build muscle and burn fat!
-Full Body Diagnostic to measure muscle gain and fat loss
-Shopping list/Meal Plans/Recipes
-Challengers Banquet upon completion
-Team of Expert Coaches to guide you
-Community of Students to commiserate with about muscle soreness
-Learning the TRUE definition and meaning behind muscle soreness
-Mastering the MOST IMPORTANT exercise in the gym!
-Be inspired and inspiring!

It takes all of our participation to shift a culture. Here at Training for Warriors Portland, we are going to lead the way. Our mission is to promote equality and fitness (sometimes at the same time!)

Thanks to everyone who have contributed to our fundraising campaigns for the Southern Poverty Law Center and Sexual Assault Resource Center!
On April 22nd, we are doing it again. Come get an ass-kicking workout AND give back to the causes you believe in. We will be donating all proceeds to Basic Rights Oregon.

A little about BRO:
Their mission: "Basic Rights Oregon will ensure that all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer Oregonians experience equality by building a broad and inclusive politically powerful movement, shifting public opinion, and achieving policy victories. Basic Rights Oregon is a member of the Equality Federation."
"Basic Rights Oregon is the primary policy advocacy organization for LGBTQ Oregonians. As such, we advocate for public policy that meets the needs of a breadth of our LGBTQ communities. Our policies are constructed with a deep understanding of what they will mean to LGBTQ communities of color, transgender communities, LGBTQ youth and LGBTQ people in every corner of the state."

Event details:
We are requesting a $20 donation-- all proceeds benefit Basic Rights Oregon. The workout begins at 11am and is for all fitness levels. Even if you have not worked out in a while, you will leave sweating and smiling. Stay for food and drink afterwards... and feel free to bring a treat to share.
The event is family and dog friendly, as usual!

In March, we are continuing to give back to our community by hosting a fundraiser workout for SARC (Sexual Assault Resource Center) Oregon. SARC's mission is "to promote social justice by eliminating sexual violence in our community through education, support, and advocacy."

The workout is for all fitness levels. Even if you have not worked out in a while, you will leave sweating and smiling. Stay for food and drink afterwards! Feel free to bring a treat to share. The event is family and dog friendly, as usual!

We are requesting a $20 donation-- all proceeds benefit SARC.

SARC exists as a charitable non-profit to educate and maintain programs in our facilities to provide mental and/or physical support in crisis situations resulting from a sexual assault.
Programs include:
24-Hour Crisis Line and Response
Counseling Services
Case Management
Prevention/Education

The SPLC uses litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy to fight hate and bigotry, and seeks justice for the most vulnerable members of our society.

Our workout will be for all ability levels. even folks who have not been working out at all will leave sweating and smiling!
