A lot of people talk about context as the key to the future of marketing. This is especially true for media planning in the future - context, technology, and content are more important than ever. This research does a nice job showing how multi-tasking and context change by device usage.
Smartphones get around, but tablets are most likely to come out in the living room or the bedroom.

This is from an ABC/Washington Post poll (i.e. not a study) I agree that it's weird Twitter isn't as popular but it's even more amazing how few people like Facebook given it's impact on the way we communicate. Maybe they should take this to heart if and when the time comes when buying the next big competitor isn't a viable option.
 
Everybody Loves Google; Only One-Third View Twitter Favorably

Google is the most popular major tech company in America, slightly besting Apple, while Facebook lags far behind those two. Twitter polls the worst of the four, with only about one-third of Americans saying they view the company favorably.
