BMW of Monrovia had the BMW 328d I wanted, i went to three other dealerships before them. None of them had the car I was looking for or were willing to give me the deal I wanted. I called Monrovia before I went in and told the salesman Weiwei Wang what i was willing to pay and he said he would try to make it work. He called me back and said it could work if we had the credit necessary so I had him send me a loan application and sent it in. We were approved, we went in signed docs and drove off with our perfect BMW. They were very to the point, there was no haggling and they were not pushy at all. Thank you Weiwei and BMW of Monrovia.

On 01/24/15, I went to them through a broker. They inspected my returning car at this dealership and did not even give me the chance to be present at the time of inspection. I had to take a strong stance to make sure that they did not charge me as much as they wished. They did not even allow me to test drive the car. They made sure, I signed the documents first before they even showed me the car and since I was short on time, I did not want to argue with them. While signing the documents, I asked them numerous times if PermaPlate Protection was something I had to pay for and they reassured me that it was not the case and that it was a complimentary protection plan offered by me through their dealership. When I came home that night and reviewed the documents I had signed, sure enough they did charge me for PermaPlate and added it in financing. So, I will end up paying $700.44 for a Protection Plan that I have never used in the past 12 years of my BMW ownership and I will never use. When I sent the salesperson an e-mail questioning him about that, I did not hear back from him. This is my 5th BMW in 12 yeas and definitely my last one from this dealership. I will make sure to have all of the documents reviewed by my lawyer before I enter any contract with any company next time. This is the experience this dealership left me with.

If you're worried about the rating here, keep in mind that more than half of these reviewers have never been anywhere near this dealership. Some guy complained about his service to a group of people on a social media website and got a little army to try and get petty revenge on the dealership by having them all rate it one stars. I have visited/shopped around at this dealership, and the staff seemed good enough by BMW standards. Plenty of friends of mine have purchased cars from 3 series to 7 series here. I'm not saying that this is the best dealership in the world. They're probably going to be shady behind the scenes like any other dealership (not really saying much). Some will be pleased, some wont, but to barrage a dealership with negative reviews because an error was made and ONE customer was unhappy? Unacceptable, quite frankly disgusting. Don't listen to the reviews, try the dealer out and see for yourself.

BMW is a luxury car company with high mechanical standards. I would rather drive a Ford from 1970 than have to work with anyone at this dealership. They refused to work with me period and more importantly I had to suffer for their mistake. It's like if they ordered a pepperoni pizza and I brought them olive. I said "Well you still got a pizza. So calm down. Here, take some garlic dip, you'll feel better" I will not be making my purchase of a BMW solely because of the management at this dealership.

I'm not a friend or employee of BMW of Monrovia. I did feel compelled to write a review though after seeing some of the negative reviews here. I had possibly the best experience I've ever had buying a new vehicle at BMW of Monrovia. I was in the market for a new X5. I got pricing from several dealers around the Los Angeles County area. Once I got the best price, I took it in to my local dealer, BMW of Monrovia, to see if they would beat it. They did in fact beat the price so I ordered a new 2015 X5 from them with all the options I wanted since they did not have the exact package of color/options in stock. It took 1.5 months to arrive, exactly as they stated it would. My salesman was Tomas and his assistant, Brie. From the time I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist, EVERYONE was professional, courteous and attentive. After a test drive with Brie, I began the order process. Tomas and Brie took their time and answered every question I had. I never felt pushed or pressured to purchase anything. They fully explained exactly what would happen and what the timeline would be for delivery of the car and they were spot on. During the wait, Tomas sent me screenshots every Friday of the car's progress through the manufacture, shipping and arrival stages so I could follow along every step of the way. Fast forward 1.5 months: The car arrived in perfect condition and exactly as I ordered. I was called immediately when it arrive. I went down that evening to pay for the car. Paperwork was done quickly. Once that was done, Brie sat in the car with me for over 30 minutes and basically gave me a class in all the workings of the car and how to use all the technology and software (it's packed!). She paired my smartphone to the car and paired my garage door opener to the car's garage door opener. Once done with that, Brie explained that anytime I want to come back with additional questions or more training that I was welcome to drop by. I was impressed with the service and treated like a VIP from start to finish. Once I took delivery of the car, I drove it for the weekend and then dropped it back off the following Monday to get the car Permaplated (I highly recommend this. They put a very durable transparent compound/wax over the entire outside of the car which lasts several years to help protect it. They then put a compound over all the leather and carpets inside to protect from dirt, spills etc). Service again was nothing short of courteous and patient. Finally, I purchased numerous accessories from the parts department to add to the car. Rick was the parts manager helping me. Again, I was treated like a VIP from beginning to end. Rick took his time, made recommendations and answered all my questions patiently. Once the accessories arrived, Rick called me promptly to let me know they were in. Another totally positive experience. Again, I'm not sure what some of the other negative reviews saw that I didn't see but I can tell you that none of this happened to me. I dealt with every department from sales to service to parts to financing. You should not hesitate to purchase a BMW here if you are in the market. Frank

Would not purchase from this dealer. Ordered a car with one transmission, wrong transmission upon delivery. If they can't get something as direct as ordering a new car correct, who knows what else they can manage to mess up and not tell you about. Maybe next time we go in for service they'll give me the wrong car back? Who knows! 2/5 because the dealership has a very solid curb appeal and the interior is well kept, + free coffee.

Doesn't get any worse than this guys, shady as hell place. Trying to sell you things that you don't need for a ridiculous price, beware if you are a female! The salesperson was treating my friend like she didn’t know any better,good thing I was with her. I hate dishonest salespeople so I would recommend anyone I know to stay away from this place and take your business anywhere else

This dealership will go above and beyond to screw you over just to get a few extra bucks in, they ordered the WRONG car even when they had it in writing, and refused to take command on it, not even an apology, instead got mad for calling them out when they delivered the wrong car in several months - it was like ''too bad we ordered the wrong car for you; well it took months for it to arrive so you must start driving an automatic even when you ordered manual, and if you complain, we will get mad at you, and nope, we are never fixing this mistake!'' - the audacity of this dealership. In the retail industry having a good reputation is crucial to a successful business, looks like they are unaware of this universal concept, even a simple merchant who sold fruits in the middle ages was aware of this. Please avoid this specific dealership for your own good, hundreds of one-star ratings like these are proof enough already!
