This was my first time staying and the hotel was great! Clean, Modern and located where all the action is. My Wife and I stayed 3 days in the Hudson River Suite on the 14th floor and the views through out the room were amazing! We ate at the restaurant on new years eve, the food was good but nothing in my option. A Staff member named Chris helped us with great diner recommendations and made our stay that much better!

Although you are "not in the middle of it all" in NYC you are a few blocks away from Hells Kitchen, a little further from Grammercy and so you get a bit of a break on the Hotel cost. The rooms are modern, and smartly organized. Service is also good and the roof-top bar view is a plus. The Print restaurant has mediocre food, mostly too salty and overpriced. Overall good. Just eat out.

Great hotel, with Great views!! Rooftop bar with more great views. If you want ice, as soon as you arrive, request it, so by the time you actually want it you will have it!! The room I stayed in had a King and a fold out bed as well, two Televisions, a rather large walk in shower, soaking garden style tub, double sinks and toilet of course. The Restaurant is decently priced and has a well appointed menu. Considering you're in NYC don't expect to pay under $$$ for anything you eat anywhere. Hell's Kitchen is about a 5 minute walk, and give or take 10 minutes to the Intrepid. Taxi fare for anywhere we went from here never exceeded $20 dollars, but averaged more around $12 w/tip. This is by far a little Gem of a hotel, and you won't be less than amazed at all it has to offer. Highly recommend this to any and everyone going to the NY.

We have just returned from a four night break in this lovely hotel! We were celebrating our anniversary and were kindly upgraded to a King Suite which was amazing. The hotel is in a very good location easy to walk to Time Square but away from the hustle and bustle. Attention to detail was key hereand the furnishings and style of the hotel were spot on. The service was impeccable. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Terrific boutique hotel well located in midtown. Love the wine hour. Amazing view from the roof top lounge. Expensive restaurant though.

This is another great Kimpton hotel in NYC. The location is not in the middle of town but easily accessible and located close enough to Hell's Kitchen. The views are fantastic, best rooftop bar in NYC for sure. The rooms are spacey, well appointed and much bigger than the typical room in Manhattan. Decorated very minimalist and simple, with great taste though. One thing that I'd like them to redo is the gym, these days we want to be able to get a good workout when traveling, it has some equipment but no windows, it's like a box, so I hope they do something to change this. Did I mention service is great?! Great place overall.

A wonderful place situated just west of the Hudson river and across from a Lexus car dealership on 11th Avenue. Their rooms are long and the layout makes them appear bigger than your average hotel rooms in New York. It only gets 4 stars because of a very small Fitness room and on a busy weekday morning you have to wait your turn on the machines and no more than 5 people can fit in the tiny room. Remember to checkout the rooftop lounge in summer.

Quality. I chose Ink 48 because it is a Kimpton. I expected luxury and Kimpton service. When I arrived I was excited to visit Post Lounge- Post Lounge even tweeted about being excited to see me there. When I tried to enter at 5 I was told it was closed on Friday night due to a wedding, which was extremely unfortunate since it was a selling factor and major consideration when I chose the hotel. It forced me to change plans and try to find another convenient rooftop with a view. That same day when I asked for an adapter to make the older model iHome compatible with an iPhone 5 front desk said he would ask housekeeping and I never heard from the team again. I have always had excellent help and considerations made by Kimpton staff. In DC and San Francisco they've been courteous and - "customer is always right" with a "can do" attitude. When I called down to ask for an iPhone 5s charger (since I had only brought a car charger and there's no in and out service with valet so I couldn't get to my car without paying $55 again) the front desk told me "no". I asked why since it is one of the promised items on the "forgot it? We've got it" flyer in every room- they explained that they use to but would not anymore. Dismayed, I went to bed without a charger. My boyfriend then made a similar request the next day. He was told people steal the chargers, so they would not do it. (Isn't that why incidentals can be charged to guests???) The next staff member told him that Ink48 only carries chargers for other phones. (Isn't iphone5s the most popular model in the world??) Either way we were definitely getting the run around from a hotel that offers luxury accommodations with personalized service and failed on all accounts. At 9 PM on Saturday night a hotel staff member, Joshua, did bring up a charger. He left with some choice parting words "I must say that I never leave home without my charger, no one forgets their charger, I would suggest you never forget it to avoid this again". I was so taken aback. My boyfriend then requested early checkout immediately. We couldn't believe with all the other choice of $320 a night rooms in the city that this hotel maintained it's high rating. As a loyal Kimpton member I was so unbelievably disappointed in the service. We checked out a day early. Our bill was incorrect citing over $300 in valet charges, when $55 per day for 2 nights should have shown $110! How disappointing. ever return??
