Facebook is like smoking. And that's how you want it. You want our first thought when we get on the computer to be "I'll check Facebook". Worse than that, it's not even a thought for most of us. It's subconscious. Our finger moves the mouse to the Facebook bookmark or they type facebook.com
in the address bar and before we know it we're on Facebook checking for inane updates. It's rarely if ever a choice. If Facebook was something I could check occasionally, I'd stay on here. But it's addictive and you know it.
I love technology wholly but believe it should only every enhance our lives, never detract from living.
I want to see the world. I want to SEE my friends. I want meaningful interactions, not scatter-gun status updates. I want conversations not chats. I want real life.
