Happy Birthday to the one and only Anna Paquin!

Anna Paquin (born 24 July 1982) is a Canadian-born actress who grew up in New Zealand. Her first film was The Piano, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in March 1994 at the age of 11. She is the second youngest Oscar winner in history. Paquin is best known for her role as Rogue in three X-men films and, more recently, for playing Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood.

Paquin came out in an anti-bullying campaign in 2010. Soon thereafter, she told Zooey Magazine in an interview that "It’s not being greedy or numerous other ignorant things I’ve heard at this point. For a bisexual, it’s not about gender. That’s not the deciding factor for who they’re attracted to." In June 2014, she tweeted, “Proud to be a happily married bisexual mother. Marriage is about love not gender."

Hi, I‘m Samantha. I am Pansexual.

Even though I often refer to myself as bisexual I am, to be more precise, pansexual. When I honestly say I am #pansexual , no one seems to know what I mean. At times I really don't have the energy to explain so I say "Ok, I'm bi then." LOL My favorite character ever is Grencia Mars Elijah Guo Eckener from the anime cowboy Bebop. He was what inspired me to look more into sexuality and sexual orientation. As for me, I am a professional gamer/skillgamer. I love that I don't need a "real job", that I can do something I love and make a living off it. No boss no schedules. :3 Some of my hobbies include... Studying Japanese #Myrmecology (the study of ants) #Entomology (study of insects) Video games (obviously lol) Singing Acting Psychology ( I have a Master's) Recently I got back into doing puzzles :) I am currently living in #Hawaii with mah. Just enjoying myself at the moment. I have always been bullied and discriminated against in some form or another. I am a black, female, pansexual, non-religious, anti-religious #atheist . Most people are bullied to death for just being one of those things . I am the full set! LOL I think many people don't really understand sexual orientation because of the words we use to describe it. For example, I think homosexuality and heterosexuality are the exact same sexual orientation. So why use those words when it doesn't describe it accurately at all? The proper terms are #androsexual (one born only attracted to men. Meaning gay men and straight women have the same sexual orientation) and #gynesexual (one born only attracted to women meaning lesbians and straight men are the same).

Gaius Julius Caesar (12 or 13 July 100 BC - 15 March 44 BC) was a Roman statesman and general. He was a skillful politician and popular leader who turned the Roman Republic into the powerful Roman Empire. Julius Caesar greatly extended the territory of Rome before seizing power and making himself dictator, paving the way for the imperial system.

Caesar was a man of great intensity who openly enjoyed the "company" of both men and women. Curio, the famous orator of ancient Rome, described Julius Caesar as "every woman's husband and every man's wife."

Deborah Harry (born July 1, 1945) is an American musician, actress, and international sex symbol best known for her role in the new wave and punk rock band "Blondie." She frequented the famous disco Studio 54 and her sultry image became known world-wide when she was regularly featured on the cover of Rolling Stone during the music video revolution.

Harry confirmed rumors of her bisexuality in a 2014 interview, saying "women are more sensual” but that her most enduring relationships had been with men. She expressed a longing to fall in love again and implied that the gender of the person was unimportant.

What do YOU score on the Kinsey Scale???
(Hint: 1-5 are shades of bisexuality)

#FamousBis: Alfred Kinsey
(June 23, 1894 – August 25, 1956) was an American biologist and professor of entomology and zoology.  In 1947, he founded the Institute for Sex Research at Indiana University, now known as the The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction. Kinsey's research was absolutely groundbreaking for his time. He studied human sexuality with a frankness that went against deep-seated cultural taboos, and his work caused great controversy as soon as it was published. Although Kinsey preferred to describe sexuality according to his 7-point Kinsey Scale, parts of his research regarding sexual orientation led to the common estimate of 10% for homosexuality in the general population.

Taken from us last month in a car accident:

‪#‎ABeautifulMind‬: John Forbes Nash
(June 13, 1928 – May 23, 2015) was an American mathematician who made profound and fundamental contributions to game theory, differential geometry, and partial differential equations. His theories, many of which he developed when he was only in his 20s, continue to be important in fields as diverse as economics, computing, evolutionary biology, artificial intelligence, accounting, computer science, games of skill, politics, and military theory. In 1994, he shared the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his work on game theory.

John Nash was a genius whose mind could be too powerful for his own good. By his early 30s, Nash began showing clear signs of mental illness that seriously impeded his life and his work. He spent several years at psychiatric hospitals being treated for paranoid schizophrenia. Over time, Nash was able to adapt to and largely overcome his mental illness through lifestyle changes, and he resumed both his theoretical work and his teaching. Nash's life and struggles were featured in the book and subsequent film titled "A Beautiful Mind."

Like many bi kids, Nash was bullied as a student for being queer. In 1954, while in his 20s, Nash was arrested for indecent exposure in an entrapment sting targeting queer men in Santa Monica, California. Although the charges were dropped, he was stripped of his top-secret security clearance and fired from RAND Corporation, where he had spent a few summers as a consultant. Nash was married to his wife Alicia from 1957-1963 and again from 2001 to their untimely death in a taxi accident in 2015.
