I was reluctant when persons in my group suggested that we go to "Surf Burger". I had already decided that it wasn't going to be good. Boy,.. was I wrong! Reasonably priced & very tasty. The staff were great. They were friendly & handled our large group very well. Recommendation: Give them a try get the onion rings!

The service was terrible. We were enjoying drinks on the deck waiting for our order to be taken, and the wait staff told us we couldn't have outside food before even considering taking our order. After placing the order, they still insisted that we were offending them, despite the fact they were not busy, and we were the only people on the deck. We ended up leaving before our food arrived because they showed us they surely didn't want our business. For that reason, I highly recommend going to nearby Flounders for a burger because those are delicious.

Everything was good until today. Me and the better half ate lunch there a week ago. Food was good. Got bill and paid with a credit card and left tip in cash. Checked account today and noticed that they charged a extra $5.00 tip on the credit card! WTF! I can't stand a thief and will not return and will tell people not to go there! The best part is I am not a tourist I actually live here!

Absolutely. Horrible. "Service".... I generally enjoy sitting at a bar for a cold one after a day of sailing or other (hot) beach-related activities. Perhaps their bartenders don't need the money enough to acknowledge a person sitting down at an otherwise empty bar, or perhaps this location only hires kids fresh out of high school who don't have to pay bills yet because mommy and daddy still do that for them, but on one occasion, I sat for a good five minutes watching/listening to the servers behind the bar discuss the drama of the day before I, much more thirsty and now educated on who likes to do who's boyfriend, finally got up and walked over and requested a drink and ordered a mediocre meal- to go. This was possibly the most pleasent of multiple visits. On another occasion, people more optimistic than I had talked me into giving it another try, but we promptly left when sitting at the bar and asking for a beer resulted in the employee (leaning on the bar directly in front of us) responding that he wasn't the bartender and continuing to watch his obviously-more-important football game. There was no "one second, the bartender will be here in a moment" or "let me go get him/her for you" or "here's a water in the meantime, I know it's hot as hell out there".... nothing. By now you are probably wondering why I've continued to enter this establishment... well, it has potential and some of my friends really like it. I'm sure with some visible management (does this place even have a manager? I've never seen one) and selective hiring it is possible to have a good experience. By all means, give it a try.

That was the nastiest hotdog, the chili tasted like dirt and the grilled onions that was supposed to be on it were very few and not noticable and not to mention over priced! Not impressed whats so ever. Not worth the $$

To be honest, after reading all the negative reviews, I was Leary about going here. Glad we did. We arrived late, and close to closing time w a party of 7. The waitress, even though she was trying to clean up, was very attentive to our needs. The food was good. I had a margarita which also was very good. Cost wasn't too bad. My only'gripe' would be the auto tip. They tipped themselves 18% due to our party's size. Usually is let it ride at that. But our waitress was great, so I actually added another $5. I recommend this place!
