New for 2018 the Texense SP-Amplifier (skid pad/ block probe amplifier). The 'SP-Amp' amplifier is delivered with two potentiometers to respectively select and program the gain (amplitude of the signal) and offset compensation (time constant to getting back to the offset setup at 2.5V)

We’re really proud to continue our collaboration with Porsche on the 919 tribute project.

On the 29th of June history was made at the Nürburgring ring in Germany. Laden with Texense sensors and Timo Bernhard at the wheel, the 919’s destiny was about to be fulfilled.

We had a small window within which to try and set the fastest possible lap, with temperatures rapidly rising, Timo ventured out onto the track to begin the record attempt.

The previous fastest lap was set in May 1983, when Stefan Bellof completed a run of the circuit in 6:11.13 behind the wheel of a Porsche 956 C, this astonishing time has long since been thought unbeatable.

Timo set out on his final and fastest lap, clocking speeds of up to 229mph! Finally, the 35 year old record is broken with an astonishing time of 5:19.55.

Timo who has won the Le Mans 24hr race twice, said ‘this is a great moment for me and the entire team, the Evo was perfectly prepared, and I gave it my very best shot’

He highlighted the improved aerodynamic downforce, adding ‘You can stay full throttle at sections I never imagined. I’m pretty familiar with the Nürburgring but today I learned it in a new way’

The next stop on the 919 tribute tour will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from the 12 to 15th July and the Festival of Porsche at Brands Hatch on the 2nd September.
