Cramped room. the fireplace on the wall I banged into it trying to get by the queen bed. Tiny table to sit by. I know the atmosphere is suppose to be like the Bavarian town, however 13 steps up stairs, then another 10, you get a workout, no elevator. like the other review about cheap incense, yep and a jar candle with like a half inch of candle left !! I love the town, will come again but won't stay here

Upon checking in, the man at the front desk could not locate my reservation. Even though I provided proof of my reservation, I was informed that the only room left was a larger room that is twice as expensive. As someone who is used to reasonable customer service at a hotel and as someone whose own job revolves around customer service and doing right by the customer, I expected to be offered the available room at the same rate of my original reservation ($109). However, he still required me to pay $150 despite the fact that they were the ones who lost my reservation. Annoying, but I went ahead and accepted since it was a busy weekend and it would be tough to get in elsewhere. I should also mention that as we were in the middle of resolving the issue, he offered this same room to someone else over the phone right in front of me. And things only got worse. When checking out the next day, he informed me that last night they had a no show for a room and when he looked into it... surprise! It was my reservation. So what did he do? He charged me a $139 “no show” fee for the room I, infact, showed up to try to stay in. Funny thing is he found this out the night before, made no effort to contact me and resolve the issue, and went ahead and charged me the fee. On top of all this, his demeanor was very rude throughout all of our interactions and he placed all the blame on me. Should I have to pay a hefty fee because you are not competent enough to adequately check the credit card records of someone who had booked a room? Thankfully, I was able to dispute the additional “no show” charge on my credit card. The frustration with our hotel room really took away our enjoyment of our visit. Instead of spending more time in the city after we checked out like we had originally planned, we were so agitated that we just drove back home.

I was able to accept the 70's turquoise blue rug and the wall mounted "fireplace" but it seems to me the bed should define a hotel. In the case of this hotel the bed said "You just got ripped off. Next time save your money, pack your tent and camp at Eight Mile up Icicle Creek Road." It is a shame too given the location which is fantastic. Time for the Ritz to update the windows, and beds.

This hotel isn't even worth the stay. My wife and I booked a stay here during the holidays. We reserved our room over the phone and were quoted a price. When we arrived the had upped our rate for the room by $50 (They said the girl that we talked to when we booked didn't know the new rates and we could either pay the extra or find a different hotel). The room was small and didn't even look clean. We were moved to a second room, one of their larger rooms with two queen beds (the couch was more comfortable than the mattresses so I spent a night sleeping on that). The sink was cracked and the showers alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold depending on who was using water in the hotel. My wife and I will never stay here again. There are several other hotels closer to town with much better offerings.

Don't stay here!! What a total sham. Carpets in hotel hallway are stained and smells "old". Your continental breakfast is instant coffee, tea or hot cocoa; no food. There is no vending machine for snacks or refreshments if you need anything before or after hours and there is no bottled water provided in your room for a fee or for free. Ice is available only during office hours. Signs are everywhere to keep quiet or leave things alone or how they will charge you if anything is missing or out of place. Stayed in the Queen Jacuzzi Suite. Room is above the Tequila Bar and all you can hear is bass from their speakers until 2 in the morning. Jacuzzi was a normal sized tub in your bathroom, not bedroom, and provides the room next door with a lovely view inside your bathroom from their bed. Jacuzzi is normal sized (which also happens to be smaller than the one I have at home) and barely fits 2 people. Shower curtain doesn't close all the way and there's nowhere except by the bathroom door to put my towel. Used candles and cheap incense is provided as a "romantic atmosphere" addition. Burnt my fingers turning off the fireplace because the arrow indicating where to open the grate is located in front of the blower. My husband got the "romantic" package for my birthday. Chocolates were disgusting, champagne was sour but the roses were beautiful. Choices of restaurants for gift certificate are all 2 star with horrible reviews. This place is sooooo not worth over $80 per night. Don't be fooled!!!

Several of the outlets did not work, the fire place did not work and when we went to check out (only stayed one night) the VERY RUDE man on the other end of the phone did not care. We checked out at 11 and there was not even any one in the office to tell about these issues. When we called the phone on the wall indicating this is the phone to call for help the man was beyond rude to us and kept saying, "return keys in box! I already told you!" We WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!!!
