Authentic taco joint that is plain good across the board. Good tacos, good salsa, good prices. Bon Appetit's wrote an article that named their favorite taco in Austin as their barbacoa de chivo taco (goat). I wasn't terribly impressed, it just seemed like a fairly ordinary shredded goat meat taco. I also tried the barbacoa de res (beef) which was fairly similar, and the pastor which had an authentic pastor flavor that I really liked.

I work right down the road and eat there at least once a week. Everything I've had has been great but I usually just get tacos. It's delicious and cheap, two of my favorite things. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Austin!

Just went there for breakfast today and tried three different breakfast tacos: migas, chorizo egg and cheese, and bean and cheese. Unlike other breakfast tacos where you might get most of the flavor from adding salsa, their migas and chorizo were both very flavorful. You can actually taste the various spices like Mexican cumin in the chorizo, and I really appreciated that depth of flavor. This may be my favorite chorizo breakfast taco so far in town. The migas taco had onions and jalapeños mixed in too which also made it so much more flavorful, and there was still a nice crunch in the tortillas which is a plus. No one likes soggy tortillas in their migas! Bean and cheese was as expected, didn't stand out like the others. They only had two salsas to choose from which is a bummer since other breakfast taco places in town have spoiled me with an array of condiments. Also, not the best coffee but it does the job [and wakes me up]. Other than that the tacos are worth going back for!

This is one of my all time favorite spots to have authentic Mexican food. It is in a slightly unpolished area of town but it has never bothered me. I have tried almost everything on the menu, and have yet to be disappointed. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I find myself here often on Saturday mornings grubbing on their amazing (and inexpensive) breakfast tacos. The only thing that stinks is their tortilla chips are slightly subpar but everything else more than makes up for it. TIP: try the sopes!

Corn tortillas made in house + authentic meats = Mexican heaven. These tacos are very authentic, the even have lengua (cow tongue) and barbacoa de chivo (goat) (dont knock it until you try it). It is very affordable with tacos costing from $1.25 - 1.75 and you could easily get a meal for under $6. They also feature delicious fruit smoothies, ice cream, and aguas frescas. This hole in the wall is the little piece of Mexico that Austin has been missing!
