Voter ID laws are intended to prevent an impersonator from casting a ballot in someone else's name.

Help me understand, please - logic and argumentation disconnect.

It's about my "we don't serve your kind" post at TMV:

This case is one of discrimination, refusal to deliver service based on CLASS of persons (one class can get the service, another class cannot).

The comments are dominated by counter-arguments predicated on the state mandating that a professional provide A SERVICE TO EVERYONE - a service not currently offered because of "conscience."

Why do people think these two things are the same?
