Requirements for Real Estate Investors who seek Like-Kind or Starker Exchanges to Defer Federal and State Income Taxes under Internal Revenue Code Section 1031 on Sale of Investment Property through a Delaware Statutory Trust (DST)

Join nationally recognized authority Louis J. Rogers this week as he gives live online lectures explaining 1031 Exchanges and Delaware Statutory Trust (DST) programs.

Louis Rogers of Capital Square Realty Advisors, LLC will host three live online mini-lectures this week, discussing how exchanges under Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code can benefit real estate investors. The lectures will begin on Wednesday, April 23 at 4:30 PM EST. The three short lectures serve as an introduction to options available to investors considering selling an investment or income-producing property.

“Section 1031 provides an exception from the general rule governing sales or exchanges of property,” said Rogers. “Generally, you pay taxes on the sale or exchange of property, but with 1031 exchanges the tax that would have been paid is instead reinvested into a new property, helping our clients build wealth over time.”

He serves on the Board of the Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate (GRACRE). Rogers has an AV Peer Review Rating and was named as one of the top lawyers in Virginia in 2006 and 2008.  He has written and lectured widely on real estate, tax and securities topics.
