The regional Puglia government in Italy recently passed a law requiring in-house-written public sector software to be open source (software libero, more precisely). It is interesting that Puglia used the GPLv3 definition of "Corresponding Source" as the basis for what is open source. I think this article in the H mistakenly says it's a requirement to put such software under GPLv3, based on my attempt to read this (pdf, in Italian,  http://www.leggioggi.it/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/II-articolato-29-IX.pdf ).
