If I could rate them higher than 4 stars I would in a heart beat. Every single component of their customer service is spot on. From the moment we came in the door I felt welcomed and appreciated. Appreciated as a patron? That is a rarity of late. I feel as though most of the new establishments expect the guest to feel privileged that they get to eat there, not vice versa. let's start with the extensive wine list and coffee list. Yup, coffee. You can choose from numerous regions-and brew methods. I am not a wine drinker and was really really happy to have a coffee selection. This was a first for me! Ok, on to the menu. The menu is carefully crafted by the owner and uses locally sourced-everything. We opted for the Prix Fixe menu which was both a blessing and a curse. It was expensive (I think $65-80 person) but allowed us to sample a wide array of the menu as we both chose different items for each course. Before the first course arrived we were treated with a small tin of mini biscuits and puff pastries filled with cheese (I forgot what kind but it was delectable!) and a small pot of garlic marmalade to spread on the aforementioned biscuits. We almost stole the garlic marmalade. Seriously. It almost went in my purse. I don't know whose genius brain created such a thing but it is absolutely my favorite thing now. Ok, first course: I had a roasted squash soup that was divine and my twin had the treviso salad which was also amazing. Somewhere in there was an amuse bouche that the Twin found to be tasty but I did not care for as it had row and I just don't really like the texture. Back on track. By the end of course one, an amuse bouche, and the yummy wummy mini biscuits/puff pastry I am feeling a tad full. No matter we will power through. The entree was quite possible the best piece of meat I have ever had. Ever. The Foie Gras was superb (and humane!). I am sure the little gnocchi and the japanese potatos were exquisite as well but I was too full to bother with them at this point-we still have dessert coming! The Beef Tenderloin is a work of art. I am not a big red meat eater and I would go back for this, and probably will. The Twin's fish dish was tasty but we both agreed that tenderloin won the night. I think I'm missing a course in there but the food baby won't let me remember what it was. Did I mention that we had our silverware changed out after every single course? They were like silverware ninjas! I opted for the fruit dessert and the twin opted for the chocolate. Both were amazing, and painful at that stage of full. Then they brought out homemade cookies for us to take home. They may be the devil. It was one of the best meals of my entire life and I will be back frequently.
