I've ended up going back to Twitter, so if you're interested, that's where I'm posting stuff nowadays.

If you want to read longer stuff, I'm also on Medium at https://medium.com/@brunn

A few days ago, I placed my first order on the site that I started making a little over half a year ago now. I don't work there anymore, but it's still pretty cool to see that the site is actually in a state where it can be used now.

How cool is a game that asks you to print out a copy of a reference manual for it's fictional computer architecture? TIS-100, if you enjoy puzzle games and assembly.

I don't think that's how it's supposed to be used...

What is going on with #googlechrome  in #ubuntu  15.04? Almost every tab is crashing for me, constantly. Just writing this post took me 5 tries. I don't really have any new extensions installed or anything, and I don't get any informative error message (just the tired old "Aw, snap!").

I'm no scientist, but something about this seems off. #ubuntu

I promise I won't spam cat pictures, but look at this furry little guy! He moved in almost a week ago now, and seems to be settling in well.

Is Gnome 3.14.4 supposed to look like this, or is it a bug in the Zukitwo theme or something? #gnome   #ubuntu

My experience with installing Linux on my new computer, so far:

Attempt #1: elementary os, latest release. Black screen when attempting to boot from live USB. Graphics card (gtx 970) not supported.

Attempt #2: Ubuntu Gnome 15.04. Ubiquity crashes due to IO error.

Attempt #3: Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 after verifying that there are no bad sectors on the usb stick and that the Iso was downloaded properly. Ubiquity crashes immediately and repeatedly.

Attempt #4: Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 on a different USB. Ubiquity doesn't look like it's crashing, but after inputting my username, password etc. it just closes itself. The cursor does its spinny thing, but nothing appears to be happening. The same thing happens if I try again.

Attempt #5: Ubuntu Gnome 15.04 on a DVD. This time Ubiquity actually got to the installation part of the process, but then I get the old IO error again.

All of these attempts were with acpi=no and nomodeset, because without them, it wouldn't start at all.

Is it at this point I should be saying "Fuck this, I'm switching to Arch"?

Just noticed that I've gotten two positive reviews for my Dota 2 Match Ticker app for Ubuntu!

Sadly, I've only gotten 25 downloads in the last three months, and looking at the usage stats, the app is usually opened about twice a week (in total, not per user). But at least some people are enjoying it. :)
