My air had stopped working sometime during the day while I was at work & my 2 dogs had been without air all day. I came home to a very HOT 90 degree house! I called 1 hr air at 5:30 on Friday night. They sent a tech out at 8:00pm that was simply beyond rude to me! He made it quite clear that he was not happy about being there on a Friday night & I made it quite clear that neither me or my dogs were happy about being without A/C in south Fla! He charged me 97.00 for the diagnostic test & then tried to charge me 189.00 for a capacitor cap (that costs 8.50 at Home Depot). I told him not to change, that I would have my home warranty company come out the next day- which they did. I did not appreciate him trying to take advantage of me & charge me such a ridiculous price for something that costs 8.50! My home warranty changed the cap & did not charge me & it took them 2 min to do. This company needs to re-train their techs in customer service, as this one was a very poor reflection & poor representative for their company!

I have had a service contract with this company for almost ten years, but recently they seem to be more interested in trying to sell me a new unit than maintaining my old one. I have a 10 year warranty and during the last service call the technician claimed it was leaking Freon, but couldn't find the source of the leak. He also told me that even if he could find it, it was going to be in a part not covered under my warranty. After two hours he said there was nothing he could do and when I requested another technician he said someone would get back to me. They never called, so I called another company. That tech agreed there was a leak was able to troubleshoot it. He also said the previous tech left a door open that could cause further damage to my unit and he loosened some wires that could have sparked a fire. Needless to say I will never use this company again.

I had them maintenance my AC and they always came up with something that was broken. There was always additional cost or something broke down one week after they did the maintenance. I also had them come to the maintenance which over 6 hours for 3 units and was told that I had to buy a new unit for one of the AC. I hired another AC , a friend of ours, 2 weeks later, and showed us how dirty the AC unit was and it was never cleaned. This company is a ripe off. You have been warned.

I had a guy come to my house twice and tell me NOTHING WAS WRONG .... as I sit here SWEATING because my 3 yr old Trane 3.5 ton AC unit isn't cooling properly and has an abundance of condensation. He stated my unit was to small for a 2100 sq ft home and I would have to re-zone my house. Uhhhhh sounds to me like he wants to sell me product/merch that isn't necessary ....when he could have just UNCLOGGED MY CONDENSATION DRAIN PIPE> I ARE NOT STUPID GIRL.... I ARE SMART GIRL :) JERKS!!!!

My parents a.c stopped working so i went to SCOHAC and scheduled an appt. Matt came out and checked it and basically we needed a new one. Because of miscommunication matt was kind enough to waive $77 fee. He was very helpful and gave great recommendations. That was the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I'd recommend this company to everyone.

the tech did not fix the unit. he stood there with a garden hose and hosed the unit off stating it was dirty. that was all he did! I called another vendor out and they said the coils were leaking causing the problem. the tech from Southern Comfort was the most lazy, unqualified a/c repairman ever. horrible service, horrible results.
