Just noticed the awesome interactive and fully playable doodle celebrating 40 years of Rubik's Cube and yes it works on your touch devices too! I had so much fun working on my timing and solving this back in school days! #CubeDoodle

Encrypt the Web Report: Who's Doing What

One of the best things to come out of the NSA deep surveillance program is that tech companies are finally taking encryption seriously. Not just in one or two places, but end-to-end, inside their data centers and connections.

Gigantic congratulations to Dropbox, Sonic, SpiderOak for earning five greens!  Twitter is almost there, hurray!

It is unsurprising that AT&T, Verizon and Comcast share the honor of the poorest scores. It is surprising that Apple and Amazon share the stage with them.

Given what we've learned about the NSA's deep and extended (and impressive) efforts, I'm not sure that even five greens will help. But at the minimum we are making them work harder, there is some satisfaction to be gained from that.

The scorecard comes from the EFF, detailed article with lots of data is here: http://goo.gl/67MJQR
