I showed up with a large group. It is a small place and they accommodated us very well. Everyone in the group had a great meal. The steak Oscar was the favorite of the group. They are a friendly staff that had all of our orders correct.

The fish was over-cooked and the ground beef under cooked. the sweet potatoes had so much butter that we had to scrape it off! The salad was good but not very green. there was a cold draft due to the back door being left open to serve the customers on the patio. Over-rated!

Best food anywhere. Lunch or dinner. Worth the drive from Boise. The previous Winer needs to go back to Calif.

This is like her 5th restaurant in the area. She makes very good and solid food. It is always packed at lunch

A great value for the money. I had the Steak Oscar with the sweet potato which did have s lot of butter but it was amazing. Portion control is not on the menu so expect a lot of food. My wife had the salmon and vegetables. I ordered a Martini and it was about an 6 ounce pour for $6. It's hard to beat this real American restaurant. We will be back!

Great down home food. Very good. Loved it. Would go back all the time if I wasn't just traveling through.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere (eat on the patio if you can). Best place to have dinner in John Day.
