I'll tell you about my last few days before I show you Giorgio Armani Beauty's gorgeous new spring collection. On Friday, Dominion Virginia Power went to my mother's house because her power went off late morning. They found a line that had to be replaced and did so. Unfortunately, in fixing it, ...

I did a really fast counter review of the Spring 2014 Chanel Notes du Printemps Collection (I was tired) and selected four items - to start. Today, I'll show you the Lumières Facettes Quadra Eye Shadow in Quadrille (#537). It went onto my purchase list the moment I saw it. Bless her hear.

As a rule, I dislike Christmas candles. I know I shouldn't generalize, but the smells of bayberry, synthetic evergreens, cinnamon, and other scents that "someone" associated with the holidays, gag me. Not so with NEST's beautiful Birchwood Pine. NEST sent me a Birchwood Pine 3-Wick Candle ($42) ...

Look at the difference! Le Métier de Beauté's photo is dark. Mine was taken in full sun and not modified even a smidge. You can see that the face colors in this palette are totally wearable by all. Because it's late (for me), let's get straight to the swatches. I went to work today, am sore, ...

The Friday Forum - December 13 - and Jo Malone
This has certainly been a painful week. I'm going to work from home one more day, today, and then rest as much as possible this weekend. I do have one little trip I have to make tomorrow (Neiman Marcus Mazza to pick up my new Le Métier de Beauté goodies. I'...

Be Careful on Ice
We didn't get that much snow today, but we had a layer of ice underneath from yesterday. That's what got me. As a result, I fell, hurt myself, and can't even think about beauty tonight. After a long day on the phone (nine hours on a call with my team), I wa...

My favorite department store in the area. First, it's beautiful, light, and airy inside. Parking is free if you get your ticket validated. For the most part, the staff is great. Yes, as in any store, there are a few losers, but not many. Virtually no one is aggressive. I don't have to tell 100 people, "I'm fine thanks, and you?" Product specialists are knowledgeable. The store and department managers deserve congratulations. I'm treated well, and though I don't spend a fortune, the staff members remember me and ask about my mom. Some of them have become like family.

Gotta send kudos to the guys at O'Grady's. They kept our steet plowed in one of the worst storms ever. Many thanks from West Falls Way.

I love this place. Go there twice/week. I think I could eat there more if I had time. Everything is good: food, service, atmosphere. I have favorite serving people and places to sit - and favorite menu items. I just wish the brunch menu didn't displace the regular menu at lunch Saturday and Sunday.
