Wow.  This is a big deal.  This is from the head legal person and from the policy director from Google.  This is a pretty brave stance to be taking.

Executives vow video site will not be used as a platform for ‘brutally violent propaganda produced by terrorists’, but argue against blanket censorship

This is really, really awesome.  RDJ sure has turned his life around.

Robert Downey Jr. delivers a real bionic arm to a kid.

I found this while browsing the 'Nets.  I'm greatly amused.
Educating the masses indeed.

Does that make me a bit of a geek?

Arlington National Cemetery debates putting QR codes on gravestones.
Personally, I think this is really nifty and a good idea but it should be up to the person in question (or their estate...)
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/innovations/wp/2013/11/20/arlington-national-cemetery-debated-allowing-qr-codes-on-tombstones-does-technology-belong-in-cemeteries/
The barcodes are a way to learn more about the deceased, but Arlington National Cemetery isn't joining the trend.

You hear these naysayers saying horrible things about the beneficial chemical - Hydrogen Hydroxide. They're even using Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt by calling it scary names like Dyhdrogen Monoxide, DHMO, or Hydroxyl Acid.
Do not let these Fear Mongers have free rein! Please see this website for all the benefits of Hydrogen Hydroxide!
Perhaps you've heard of it: a colorless, odorless liquid; a powerful coolant and solvent; an easily- synthesized compound which is used by industry, the military, commercial operations, and even private individuals. Yes, we are talking about hydrogen hydroxide, also known as dihydrogen monoxide, ...

I'm getting some good progress in metaprogramming myself so that I can make this day about myself instead of about my dad.  In the past, I've been rather depressed on Father's Day and couldn't even talk about it without breaking down into tears and sobbing.  But I'm a father now, so this day is about me.  I love and cherish my father but my situational depression over father's day is not the way to celebrate him.

Instead, I'm working doing what I've always said I've wanted to do.  I want to be my dad when I grow up.
