Here's a quick peek at my day.
7:00 am breakfast with family-- Pancakes- kids randomly come out when they wake up. The little ones always request milk first thing.
8:00 am get kids started on chores. I would love to say willing, but who am I kidding. They all think chores are the worst.
9:00 am morning meeting with design team, production manager, customer service, and the shipping department.
12:00 pm lunch with the family.
1:00 pm get the kids started on some summer math, reading, and music. Read books to the little kids. This usually goes fairly well except with my 7 year-old and the piano... it's not his favorite activity.
2:00-4:00 pm the little kids nap, while the older kids continue working on school or art projects, or play outside. I may read a book or sit down and do some computer work or catch up on laundry.
4:00-5:00 pm dinner prep and quick pick up of the house or otherwise known as the witching hour. For some reason the kids all seem to have a melt down and it can be a little stressful.
5:30-6:00 pm dinner with the family. Don't imagine a quiet peaceful dinner, usually there are kids on the table or they are upset because somebody touched them or we have to rearrange the whole sitting arrangement because somebody wasn't in the mood to sit next to their normal dinner partner.
After dinner we sometimes watch a movie or go outside and relax for the evening.
8:00 pm Bedtime! It's a little crazy getting everyone settled in for the night but after they are asleep it's heaven. Kendall and I just cuddle in bed and watch some Netflix series and relax.

I love to travel! I dream of homeschooling on the road and seeing the world with my family. I am sure it's a lot of work, but it really sounds like a dream come true for me!

We are starting another year of school which for us is homeschooling. We homeschooled last year and we all loved it. This year I will be homeschooling an 8th grader and 2nd grader and two preschoolers. It makes for full days homeschooling and running a business, but when God asks you to do it, you just jump in and go. He makes it work. I truly love our days together. Granted some days get a little chaotic, but most of the time is spent in good company learning all there is in God's beautiful world.

I designed this outfit for my 2nd son. I wanted a little man suit and that's just what this is! Made out of silk dupioni, it is a beautiful creamy white. Complete with a tie, it's seriously adorable! http://ow.ly/ahDs30eQMQv

This is the spot I call home. A definition of hug is to put your arms around someone especially as a way to show love and friendship. For me a hug with my husband is the best comfort spot in the world. When I am having a bad day a good long hug is the best way to get be back in a good mood. I would be happy anywhere if it's with him.

Lots of people ask what it's like working with my husband. I love it! I mean how often can you pinch your business partner's bum. Haha! We work well together and enjoy each other's company. Communication is a key element to having a good working relationship.
Kendall and I have opposite yet cohesive abilities in the business. He loves the finances, the marketing, and the day to day details. While I love the design aspect, web details, and the management of our teams. My job is more suited to a few hours a week, as I stay home with the kiddos. Which is what we both want. He is willing to take on more since he is there every day. We both love to dream big for our business and set plans in place to handle those big dreams. We also love to brainstorm great marketing ideas together.
So the big question is do our date nights always revolve around work? No. I mean work is brought up in part of the conversation, but we also talk about places we want to visit, things our children are going through, our struggles and joys. He always makes me laugh and date night is always a refreshing change to the week. I highly recommend that you always date your spouse once a week regardless if you work together or not.

Routines are changing and summer is ending. I will remember the many days of far away cousins staying and connecting after a long year apart. Little tan bodies that have enjoyed all the summer sun (with sunscreen of course), water parties, and popsicles. Family barbecues, huckleberry picking, and simply enjoying the blue summer skies and sunshine. How have you enjoyed your summer?
