Long lines often form for traditional hot & spicy Thai dishes at this renowned spot.- Google
"Sat down, Mom orders Papaya Salad for appetizer and Green Curry for entree."
"Best cheap Thai food in New York. The Panang curry is to die for."

This place has great authentic Thai food. Consider one of the best in NYC. They have great service even the wait for a seat is long sometime. My friends and I come here often. But they have a serious issue with their food. THEY PUT WAY TOO MUCH MSG IN EVERYTHING. I'm an Asian, I get use to have gsm in food when dinning out, but the amount they put in this place is way too much. After dinning there, I alway had difficult getting sleep and had crazy dry mouth. For that reason alone, I will skip this place.

Was here at least ten years ago when it was basically a storefront with some tables inside. My friend (who had spent months in Thailand) ordered in Thai. Having left NY I've spent the last ten years dreaming of the green papaya something we ate. Today I was driving from the city to the island and found IT! I'm sure plenty of people have one or another complaints. But to me it was like finding Shangri-La after years of faux Thai. I'm a pretty good cook but I couldn't begin to attempt the silky coconut flavors, the perfect mix of hot,sour,salty,sweet... And the prices (at least at lunch) unbelievable. Almost worth moving back to NY.

The food was good, but the service was horrible. We got different server the intire time. The couple next to us got there after us, they were waiting for a server for a while until the gentlemen waved one of server. So, i tap his back, i was going to asked where is our Server, but he called me rude, (was it from asking him a question or getting his attention for tapping his back?) eventually someone took our order never came back and check on us. BAD SERVICE EVER!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in NYC. I've come here many times especially in the summer when the patio is open even though I live in Brooklyn. It is worth the long train ride, believe me. My favorite dishes are the crispy watercress salad, papaya salad, panang curry, and for dessert, coconut cream. Their food is actually spicy, not the watered down American spicy. Also, they freshly make their curry pastes so it actually tastes spicy. The wait can be long but if you go during the day on the weekends or weeknights, there's not much of a wait.

I went with my girlfriend and her cousin for lunch. One of us ordered a salad that was inedible and when we complained, the manager came and repeatedly stated that the dish "was one of the most popular dishes", as if that mattered. My girlfriend's cousin said that she did not want to eat anything else and wanted her dish to be taken away. The other waiters proceeded to glare at us and give us dirty looks during the rest of our meal. This place is full of disgustingly inexperienced workers and management who can not take criticism and feel a need to argue with the customer, regardless of the customer's preferences. Keep in mind that numerous reviews have stated that the service here is terrible.

Bland food that you'd expect from a mid-west airport. Massaman curry is average and noodles are tasteless (and not at all spicy). Chao Thai and Paet Rio are leagues better - go there and dont waste your money here.

Great variety of dishes. Food tastes Amazing. Service is not the greatest but price and taste overweights that.
