The stone has remained wet for most of this summer - where has the sun gone, the summer is nearly over and we are still waiting! Has the weather been unseasonable for you too this year?

An impromptu diversion round the west coast road on Tuesday because the bin lorry had broken down and was blocking the road through Glen More had its benefits - glorious scenery I'm not sure from the look on the faces of the passengers or the drivers on all the coaches as they meandered round these very narrow jaw dropping roads felt quite the same though! #isleofmull #westcoastmotors #singletrackroads

A cacophony of sound on this morning's walk with Megan & Lainie down at #Fidden - sang with my first skylark, ducked a flight display from some rather noisy lapwings diving bombing, and went quackers for the shelducks! Love is in the air down at Fidden #lapwing #birdwatching #isleofmull

Even on a grey day Mull is beautiful - the light along Loch Scridain was magical and amazing this lunch time. Took this with my iphone from the car!

This afternoon Lainie will be attending her second Agility Class with Paws By The Loch Dog Training. As you can see she is really impressed and raring to go!

Lainie's chest wound has healed beautifully helped by water therapy down at Loch Pottie, her mum Megan supervising, a hissing Whooper Swan, 2 grumpy Canada Geese and a rather large stick

Woo hoo - Iona & Fingal have been busy smoodling and getting the nursery ready. Great news :-)
It's official, Iona and Fingal are in a new nest at Glen Seilisdeir and ironically the best view is from the hide. In past years we have watched the nest from a viewing area, and used the hide as a reception and display area, but this year... the white-tailed eagle pair have changed locations and we can now see right down onto the nest from the hide. Iona started to hunker down late on Friday afternoon and we think she has laid the first egg. Mull eagle watch trips start on Monday 31st March and are twice daily at 10am and 1pm each weekday. Book on 01680 812 556 or at the Visit Information Centre in Craignure.

We all know Tarka the Otter and Mull has many of them around our coastlines. But have you met Megan the Otter? Beautiful brown water proof coat, magnificent otter tail for steering, frolicks in the water, loves fish and is known as the fisherman's friend

These two people are THE SEAVIEW....very friendly & helpful, felt very much home from home. The accommodation is faultless & front room views stunning. We were awarded the status of 5 star guests but the hosts smash this comment out of the park! A massive thank-you, DR Brown-trout & Cholestrol Free.

The location, quality of accommodation & the service deserve 5 stars. Seaview's position with its own car parking for guests near the jetty, could not be bettered for visiting Iona, Staffa, Lunga and the other islands. As a former fisherman, John knows the local waters, the islands, the crews that operate the boats to the islands as well as Mull itself. The en-suite rooms and guest areas are furnished, decorated & equipped to a high standard and Jane has added tasteful accessories throughout; a home from home. Guests have considerable choice at breakfast, enjoyed looking out to Iona beyond Fionnphort's picturesque bay and little harbour. The service provided by John & Jane is of the highest order, even down to the jug of fresh milk for the tea & coffee making facilities in the bedrooms. That is rare. That's class! We will return.

I stayed at Seaview with my husband for a few days in August. This was our second visit this year and we are booked for two visits next year, so that says it all. We love staying with John and Jane in their lovely home which is so convenient to visit Iona (our favourite place) and explore Mull. John and Jane give us advice about walks and which we really enjoy. The hospitality, food and local knowledge is outstanding. We really enjoy our conversations with John and Jane and feel very much at home. We have stayed in two different rooms Erraid and Lunga when the twin beds were made into one large bed. Our son and partner have stayed in the self-catering facilities and we are booked in for next year. Thanks Jane and John,
