Wind Mobile is completely jacked up. They can not get there head out of their fifth point of contact. I got a phone from them, and because of a lack of credit, (have been out of Canada for 7 years) was asked to pay a deposit. Okay, no problem. They told me that if I changed my mind I would receive a full refund instantly. (They lied to get my business! What a novel concept.) So after being told that I would get the refund in 6-8 weeks they wanted to deduct first months usage. Their return policy says that so long as less than 30 minutes of air time are used, you are eligible for a full refund on cancellation. It apparently took them 5 days to do the cancellation. This was at the end of September. (still less than 14 days, as prescribed in their return policy) Their trained monkey could not put my address in correctly, so I still had not received my check. Calling to check up on the issue, they once again told me I was not getting the full refund. I argued, obviously. I quoted their policy as listed on the website, and quantified my position with the usage information listed under my account on the website. So what do they do? "Oh we have to send it to collections for investigation." Even though they jacked up, I am still going to wait a week for investigation and then another 6-8 weeks for them to send the check. Unfair, and Inconsistent business practices, blatant deception to earn my business, and then an attempt to intentionally fail to honor their own policies. They are certainly the best option for phone service if you want to get ripped off.
