Chloe, you have rare qualities as a person and as a dancer (from what the network shows of you and your biggest cheerleader, your mom. :) You may not be an extrovert, but you are humble, gracious, graceful and have no glass ceiling. The talent you have now will only exponentially grow and expand to all aspects of your life. Even better, you will be able to sleep soundly knowing that your mother raised a compassionate young lady with true class; a young lady who would never step on someone else's back to elevate yourself. You won't have to, either! Your art speaks for itself. When I was your age, I wasn't nearly as pretty or talented as you, but I had talent and I got pushed around because I was sweet, too. When I see you win, or preform, it reminds me of those sweet victories I had during my competition days. :) Never stop believing in yourself! It's true, there's always a replacement or understudy, but there is only one Chloe.

I saw a video of a woman who claims she shot herself as a teen and went to hell, then to heaven before being literally placed back into her body by the hand of God and subsequently recovering miraculously. Is her experience what she 'chose' to see based upon her connotation of after life? Thoughts on this? My instinct wasn't one of judgement; though I felt her 'testimony' may be disingenuous, but curiosity.
If Maddie or her Mom reads these comments (which isn't always wise) I am a fan! I began dancing at age 3 competitively and I lived and breathed it until it was taken from me in a car accident. Kudos to you, Melissa, for making the sacrifices it takes to take your daughters to the next level! Maddie, if you are as eloquent, intelligent, talented, humble and genuine as you seem, don't ever change those qualities. People will always see that "IT" factor in you and either try to ride your coat tails or bring you down if they're not supporting you. Let it roll off and let the music carry you. If you do what you love, as hard as you work, you won't "work" a day in your life. Thank your parents every day! You won't fully know until you're older that their blood, sweat and tears are in your career, too. :) Keep it up, kiddo!
I loved the quote, "I love old music!" :) It really wasn't that long ago that we were wearing raggedy short shorts and jellies with our ironically purchased flannels jammin' to Nirvana when I was a teenager. Cherish your youth because it's fleeting and wasted on the young. :)
