I work in social care and collaborate with colleagues all over Europe working on IT solutions especially around Living with Dementia. Outside of work I am either out walking, cycling or working on my allotment. I use and support open source software because it works! Friends don't let friends struggle on with Windows!

More progress, more cash, more devices, more apps and more info on Halium . Looking like lots of progress over with UBports showing that Ubuntu Touch is far from over. Really great work from all the team:

Fantastic to see more devices than ever being rescued and able to run Ubuntu Touch with the legacy images for the old Canonical supported devices.

In less than 2 months this has gone from strength to strength.

Hi all

Just been sorting a few bits and pieces out regarding upgrades etc and I have my old LG Nexus 4 which I would love to donate to anyone who can use it to develop new Ubuntu Touch scopes and apps.

I don't want any money for it at all. It will come wiped with the latest version of stable Ubuntu OTA 10 installed upon it but you can wipe it and upgrade to what you want.

It comes in the box with a charger and USB cable and no SIM and is unlocked to any network. It even has a case (with Ubuntu sticker naturally!) and is in full working order with no cracks in the glass front or back. The phone is unlocked of course. In fact it is just ready to go!

It would be ideal for any budding scope developers who want a machine to test/break/retest their scopes on.

If you contact me via gmail (andybleaden At) or on here and tell me why I should send it to you and what you will do with it for Ubuntu - it is all yours. I will even ship it free as part of a pay back for all the years of fun Ubuntu has given me.

Any budding Ubuntu scope developers out there?

Friday just got even better
Bury black pudding (from Bury Market) Risotto with the creamiest stickiest Risotto I have made.

Nothing but onion, stick of celery, garlic, olive oil, butter, arborio rice, ,chicken and veg stock and a glass of wine....parmesan in at the end. Leave then top with slow roast black pudding....wow!
