This place is huge..seating in 2 or 3 floors. Limited menu but it makes it easier to chose what we want the food was terrific. The drinks were also yummy. We had a great times with friends.. I would of given 5 stars but we waited like 15 min for a server and no one came over. So I stopped someone. Kyle was his name. He was fantastic. Gave us time to eat and came and checked back a couple times. I'm glad stopped him. Great experience.

GUY FIERI, have you eaten at your new restaurant in Times Square? Have you pulled up one of the 500 seats at Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar and ordered a meal? Did you eat the food? Did it live up to your expectations? Did panic grip your soul as you stared into the whirling hypno wheel of the menu, where adjectives and nouns spin in a crazy vortex? When you saw the burger described as “Guy’s Pat LaFrieda custom blend, all-natural Creekstone Farm Black Angus beef patty, LTOP (lettuce, tomato, onion + pickle), SMC (super-melty-cheese) and a slathering of Donkey Sauce on garlic-buttered brioche,” did your mind touch the void for a minute? Did you notice that the menu was an unreliable predictor of what actually came to the table? Were the “bourbon butter crunch chips” missing from your Almond Joy cocktail, too? Was your deep-fried “boulder” of ice cream the size of a standard scoop? Were you struck by how very far from awesome the Awesome Pretzel Chicken Tenders are? If you hadn’t come up with the recipe yourself, would you ever guess that the shiny tissue of breading that exudes grease onto the plate contains either pretzels or smoked almonds? Did you discern any buttermilk or brine in the white meat, or did you think it tasted like chewy air? Why is one of the few things on your menu that can be eaten without fear or regret — a lunch-only sandwich of chopped soy-glazed pork with coleslaw and cucumbers — called a Roasted Pork Bahn Mi, when it resembles that item about as much as you resemble Emily Dickinson? Hey, did you try that blue drink, the one that glows like nuclear waste? The watermelon margarita? Any idea why it tastes like some combination of radiator fluid and formaldehyde? At your five Johnny Garlic’s restaurants in California, if servers arrive with main courses and find that the appetizers haven’t been cleared yet, do they try to find space for the new plates next to the dirty ones? Or does that just happen in Times Square, where people are used to crowding?

Service was top notch. Our waiter was Kevin D. My daughter had the Macaroni and cheese, best we EVER tasted and I had the apricot glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and roasted squash, zucchini and peppers. The food really is very good quality. I found that I was hungry again about 2 hours after the salmon. Not a big portion. I would definitely go back. The placed is packed. Expect to wait, but it's worth it.

I was in holiday in NYC.. i was hungry, i was near to times square so i decided to try the famous guy's american diner, the day was 3 jan 2016, i sit down, a very gentle waiter take immediatly our order. It was 2.55 PM................... at 3.30 PM i ask where was our food, he says the food was coming. I realize he forget completely to pass our order to the kitchen,............. he comes another time at 3.45PM,.................. at 4.00 PM after drinking 30 fl.oz of soda we tell to the lady at the entrance this exactly word :" sorry, but we wait our food for almost 1 hour, and nothing has arrived yet, that's ridicolous, we are now in late and we should go", she simply reply "ok", no apologize, no sorry, nothing. So we go out only full of soda.. !!! Since the "ok" lady at the entrance DID NOT ABSOLUTELY CARE us, when we was out we look inside the restaurant to see our waiter reaction to our adbandon, but simply after 5 min he DOES NOT NOTICE TWO CUSTOMERS HAS GONE OUT WITH NO FOOD !!! That is awesomely ridicolous ! This restaurant placed in times square is offensive for americans because it piss off customers that comes from all parts of the world. This is totally unacceptable. I see always guy fieri in tv, (yes he is a little bit popular also in italy) i was thinking he was cool, he disappoints me totally, the ilding and relaxed style of the staff make me believing that's guy fieri has only recruit bad guys..?? Cannot rate food because ateless due to staff.

I went in with a friend before a show as we thought this place might be good. Food: We ordered the bourbon brown sugar wings to share which were pretty good. Just crispy enough with a really good glaze on it. My friend ordered the shrimp po boy and I ordered the volcano chicken. The sandwich seemed to be pretty good but my chicken tasted as if it had been boiled and grilled the day before then reheated when I ordered it. It was so spongy and rubbery I couldn't eat it. I thought maybe it was me so I asked my friend to taste and the response was the same. The mash and the grilled veggies on my plate were fine but couldn't tolerate the chicken at all. Expected a bit more from a guy who's supposed to know food. Service: Our waiter wasn't the worst but she wasn't very fast nor was she very attentive. It seemed that she was more interested in the conversation she was having with staff then attending us. At one point she was so engrossed in her conversation that she ignored us politely calling her over despite looking in our direction. I would say she didn't see us except for the fact that when she was done with her very important chat she came over and asked us what we had needed. She did offer to talk to the manager when I told her my chicken was rubbery but I just let it go. Service and quality was not what I expected.

I feel like one star is too much for this restaurant. We had a table of six people and every single glass of water had white stuff floating in it. One even had a huge red flake of food. We proceeded to check our silverware which had HUGE chunks of food on it. You wouldn't even believe a restaurant would wrap such a thing in a napkin to be honest. It was hard crusted sauces and God knows what else. But what takes the cake for the most disgusting restaurant I've ever been in?? There was a roach on our table. DO NOT eat here, who knows what creature you will be crunching on. Needless to say we left immediately letting the staff know how appalled we were.

Hmmmm tricky was meh! I expected more, food was good, atmosphere pretty stale and quiet. Waitress was unenthusiastic and more interested in talking with other staff. Pricey!!! But I guess this is what u get for eating in time square.

If I could take a picture of my family's faces that might say it all. If I could give it a zero star I probably would. Some have likened it to a Chili's and Applebees..... those are waaaaayyyy better! We came because my daughter loves Guy and thought it would be a nice treat. I expected higher prices but I also expected decent quality. Yick...... Unfortunately we read the reviews AFTER we sat down. Really blows......and when I read the 4 and 5 star reviews., I just can't understand how they can be honest. Now to give my leftovers to a homeless person.
