Berkshire is the worst place to.I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The management sucks and their all rude. The maintenance guy was rude as hell. They have no people person skills at all.If you have something that is broken they blame you and make you pay for it before or after your lease is up.Not recommended at all. There's always spider everywhere outside and they do nothing about it.Garbage comes on Tuesday's here and if you don't bring your trash bin in that night and its still out on Wednesday they will literally take it from you so you can't throw anything away. This place is a joke!

Do not live here. Do not trust anything these people say. God forbid they decide they don't like you, they will leave horrible lies on your rental history...I was actually told they would "make it difficult for me to ever rent again" because they could put whatever they wanted on my rental history. They also fabricated "cleaning fees" for hundreds of dollars AND kept my deposit when I scrubbed that place sparkling upon vacating. I personally asked Berkshire staff if my unit was more difficult to clean and turn than any other and they said no. If you ask for proof, pictures or a bill of the extra work, they will not provide it. These people are crooks. If you decide to live here, take pictures moving in AND moving out, record everything, keep all documentation and receipts or they will find a way to screw you. Also, the property owners daughter lives and works there and created many disturbances, the police were in the parking lot almost every weekend on her account. Management will not care if you complain about this since its the property owners daughter. Good luck.

I would think twice before renting here. Read the lease agreement very carefully. I was relocated 9 hours away due to work. There is a $1000 break lease fee and you must continue to pay until your townhome is rented out again. Needless to say they have no motivation to rent your place out since they are getting money for it. Most places make you pay an additional months rent to get out of the lease. I am sure they will rent it out just as the lease expires so they can keep the deposit and the $1000. They are unwilling to work with you on this. No one really expects to be transferred by work, so beware if you are in a situation that you might have to move due to unforeseen circumstances this is not the place to rent at. Also be very careful here. The parking situation is terrible. It is very hard to maneuver around the parking lots with people parking in front of the curbs that bump out. There are other townhomes in the area that offer the same amenities at a more reasonable value. These are just average townhomes.

Berkshire of Burnsville puts on a very good show when you are not a resident. I am not one to complain or write reviews, but I'm writing this one, in hopes to save someone from living in these "prestigious" townhomes. First of all, they are NOT at all prestigious. Upon our arrival, my husband and I found numerous spiders (and some kind of beetle) ALL over the place. The first time we tried to use the shower, we were unable to because the drain was clogged. The handbook that we received stated that a clogged shower drain was an emergency, and that they would take care of it immediately. So we called the office and spoke with a manager, who informed us that they would not be able to take care of this until after the weekend (which was 3 days away...) because they needed to hire a maintenance worker at the time. My husband decided to try to clean it out himself, which resulted in a bath tub full of long, thick black hair. Yuck! That was when we decided that we would find somewhere else to live until this was taken care of. We ended up not being able to move into our "prestigious townhome" until nearly a week after the beginning of our lease because of this! They also said that they would take care of the bug problem. Someone supposedly came and sprayed for spiders, but we never saw a difference until we took that into our own hands and used a spider fogger and many cans of insecticides! If you still insist on living at this location, be sure not to live underneath anyone! Our next problem: the people who lived above us. From my knowledge, this was a young unmarried couple with a toddler (who apparently LOVED running around). We would be awakened in the middle of the night by a child running around RIGHT above our bed. When we would try to drop them a hint that they were being too loud by lightly knocking on the ceiling, the parents would stomp on the floor and the kid would not stop. We lived in a non-smoking townhome that obviously had some cracks between the other townhomes. I would smell strong smoke coming through the walls. These are only a few of our many problems that we experienced at the Berkshire. I highly recommend that you continue your search for a better place to live instead of living there!
