West Seattle Summer Fest going on this weekend. I mainly showed up for the band Thunderpussy, which I've now towed so much it's an autocorrect suggestion. [edit] and yet "typed" isn't.

I'll probably check it out a little more tonight. It's just up the block from me.

Hrm. Been a few months since I checked in over here. How's life in G+ land? Anything new and exciting?

I know most of us have settled comfortably into our least-hated social networks. However - do you long for the days of good intentions, bad software, and people complaining about how the site's just gotten too dang popular in the last couple days? Check out Mastadon.

Mastadon's closest comparison is Twitter, but it's open source and federated there is a herd of little mastadon sites communicating with each other)

I'm on Mastadon at https://mastodon.social/@randomgeek until I get bored or the whole thing goes down in flames.

Oh and the toot (see, like a tweet but from a mastadon) below is at https://mastodon.social/@nolan/1527858

I spend most of my PC time in Linux, but since the machine is dual boot I like to see what's going on in the Windows world.

At the tender age of 20, Egon Schiele broke radically with the history of figurative painting, portraying the psychological state of his subjects rather than their physical characteristics. This approach resulted in a deep well of subversive drawings and paintings that unmasked his sitters—including, and perhaps most significantly, himself—as angsty, emaciated, gender ambiguous, and sexually experimental beings.

Since Schiele’s tragic demise in 1918 at the age of 28, a cult following has galvanized around the wunderkind Austrian artist, whose avant-garde and open-minded depiction of the human body and sexuality was unprecedented in the realm of critically acclaimed art. Below, we explore the forces that inspired the power of Schiele’s oeuvre—one that still spellbinds artists and art lovers the world over today.

Okay this looks cool - and yes very much like a Changeling RPG campaign.
