This store is amazing! I down the street from this location about three years ago. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. I know their salesmen work on commission, but rarely do I feel "pressured" to make a purchase. Selection and pricing are pretty good but never really match what is available on the website. I have had to make a few returns in the past and I feel this is one area that could be improved. The line seems to take much longer than necessary. This always makes me think long and hard before I make a purchase as i do not want to go through the hassle of returning it.

I am 48 years old, which makes me ancient in a tech store. My tech savvy son said that I MUST by my computer from micro center. They are very knowledgeable and treat non-tech people with respect, patience, and dignity. A+ for in-store customer service. I would recommend buying from this store to everyone buying a pc. Also, they keep my purchase history in a database under my phone number. So, I don't have to worry about loosing receipts, guarantees, etc. The reason I only gave it four starts is because when you call them, they have a large menu. They want you to find your answer on their website instead of calling them,.It's hard to figure out how to talk to a human. Even though I need a simple code to fix my problem, (to a activate Microsoft office, which I paid for,) I have to make a trip there instead of getting the code off the phone. But, because I have had such a positive over-all experience with them, i don't mind making the trip. (Probably my kids will want to go along with me. So, it will be a rare opportunity to do something with my teenagers,.lol)

Very good customer service. I had a problem with the HDMI connectivity from my laptop to my TV monitor. The staff were able to exactly pin point what the issue was. And I were able to get me a laptop battery that I ordered for. Excepting that the order took a couple of weeks to be delivered.

Website inventory never matches what they have in stock at store. I love that since Google Fiber has came to the city the store prices for anything networking have skyrocketed. Ethernet cord, switches, NIC's, WiFi adapters, Maybe a rich person in Johnson County (with a have it now attitude) would pay $100 for a laptop NIC, but a smart shopper like me would pay $20 from TigerDirect and wait 8 days. They don't price match either, only NeeEgg, seriously, who even uses NeeEgg? I love the consistent run around to their store only to disgustingly find out that they dont have it in stock. I also enjoy everytime I go there are literally NO DDR3 laptop RAM. wow, who does the ordering here, someones 2nd grader. They were awesome back in 2004-2011. Now they are money hungry, commission making, lack of customer service representatives, with NO INVENTORY. Oh I highly encourage you to order online first for the pickup at store option. You can wait in line for 35 minutes while the customers in front of you complain about a return they have because it's the same line. Good Times. FYI, I didn't make this review after just one bad experience, MicroCenter is 5 for 5 with these deficiencies and I'll never go back. Lost a 12 year customer.

I will never return to Mico Center again. First I bought a laptop in March. They told me it would be perfect for my needs of running Microsoft Office programs and surfing the web. I got it home and found that it would freeze while only running powerpoint. Nothing else would be open and it would freeze. It was slower than my other 5 year old computer. I did my own research and returned it for something that actually fit my needs. So if you go to purchase a computer here, come with an idea of what you want. Don't trust the sales people to know what you need. 3 months later the hard drive on the new computer died unexpectedly. Since it was obviously still under warranty, I took it back to Micro Center to have it repaired. The repair person told me she would confirm the hard drive was dead and call me later that night. She told me if I needed a new hard drive it would be a 3-5 day process. I never got a call so I called the next afternoon. It was indeed dead but she hadn't ordered a hard drive yet even though she ran the diagnostics the night before. When I dropped it off I stressed that it was vitally important that I get my computer back up and running ASAP. I don't use my computer for fun. It's for extremely important work. Apparently she didn't get that message. The communication through this process was terrible. When she said she would give me a call to update me, it never happened. I always had to call myself. Also it is the company's policy for the tech that checked in your computer to be the only one that works on it. To me this is not efficient. If they have a day off or they don't come to work until 1 PM (like in this case) your computer just sits there. The employees in the repair department need to be better at communicating with their costumers and telling the truth.

Amazing grate prices good name brand hardware clean store knowledgeable staff if you cant find it they will help you and grate return policy there web store is accurate on inventory bought all my computer parts a year ago there to build my custom computer to my needs.

Absolutely horrible ALL i had was a broken hard drive it has taken 3 weeks just to replace it. AND it is 2 days past the re estimated expected date of it to be ready. And apparently the people in the store itself cant verify that it is there HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHEN IT IS THERE. I cant believe im saying this but...i would rather go to best buy... that is a real accomplishment microcenter you have to really try to be this bad
