is Robert “Bob” Howard. Bob served the U.S. Army from 1956-1992, as a Special Forces Soldier with 5th Special Forces Group. Bob is one of the most decorated Soldiers in United States military history. His awards include the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, multiple Silver Stars, Bronze Stars, Purple Hearts and Air Medals, and several others. Bob was a Green Beret with qualifications as expert infantryman, pathfinder, ranger, master parachutist designation by three different nations, and earned his air assault and aircrew badges.
During Bob's five tours in Vietnam he was wounded more than 14 times. What the enemy couldn't do, however, pancreatic cancer did. Bob succumbed to the disease in December 2009, at the age of 70.
