I was at a very wet wedding on the last day of 2013 but I persuaded the lovely bride Nicola to go outside for 10 mins and captured a shot of the couple I am quite proud of. I do hope she will like it after the effort of venturing outside. Taken at Wotton House near Dorking in Surrey.

A new page about weddings in East Grinstead http://www.pjphoto.co.uk/east-grinstead-wedding-photography

Last year many photographers are only too aware that google changed their algorithm and has since severely impacted the livelihoods of a lot of photographers. I know personally many that have been adversely affected. The photographers that benefited were pretty much unknown so therefore what google have done is in fact contrary to what they say they intended to be the effects of these changes.

See the long established professionals, those that are at the top in wedding photography game, many have see their sites almost disappear fro.m view and in their place are lower quality, inferior photographers in many cases with hardly any experience. Call me cynical but I think this is a ploy by google to force the long established photographers in to wasting money on Adwords. After all google is a business and by the looks of it they are pretty greedy when one sees what they do to pay as little in taxes as possible. One can therefore assume that they are equally cunning in forcing up revenues.

If one extrapolates what is happening in the wedding photography industry and applies the same changes to other markets it is apparent that google are damaging the livelihoods of many. These are people who have families and mortgages to pay.

Google have too much more and influence and this seems unfair. They have a monopoly. Surely this is against the monopolies in industry laws. They keep out the competition as they have so much power. I think its time for a change.
