Sugar and Spice is a must if visiting Rutland County, Vermont. An experience unlike any other in the area and food that will have you frequently coming back even if you live out of state. The signature Sugar & Spice pancakes are borderline addicting. You will truly get the Vermont feel as the restaurant is wood cabin sugar house. There is also a gift shop and tons of syrup treats and gifts. Just a substantial place.

We love the breakfast. Haven't been there for anything else. I think they close pretty early everyday. It gets pretty packed during the season. Even off season during the weekend. There is usually at least a 20 minutes wait. But worth it.

Very friendly staff with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The pancakes weren't my favorite, but the real maple syrup and great eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. made up for it.

Beautiful and rustic, my family and I totally enjoyed our breakfast, everything came out in a timely manner. The waitress was friendly, made sure I had my refill of coffee.. I will be back!!!! They also makes homemade icecream.

This is by far the best breakfast place in Central Vermont! If you are in the area you have got to stop! The atmosphere is laid back, the food is amazing (especially the stuffed french toast),and prices are comparable to other restaurants. The owner seems like he truly cares about your experience and service as he generally greats you at the door and checks on you at your table, which I have found to not be the case at other places in the area! They also make their own maple syrup!!

The turkey, swiss and bacon sandwich needed no mayo or mustard. Perfect just the way it was served. Service was friendly and quick on a busy Sunday.

Some of the best food and service I've ever experienced. The location is a really relaxed, comfortable, rustic ski lodge sort of feel. The Sugar and Spice Pancakes are a must to try (Get them a la mode).

We stayed in a hotel near by and were about to get on the road and forgot to get fresh maple syrup to bring home typed in country store and with these reviews couldn't' not stop in! SO glad we did, we stayed for breakfast and got maple walnut waffles, bacon, homefries and blueberry pancakes. HOLY MOLY- everything was cooked to perfection- not sure if it was the fresh maple syrup but we ate every little last bite. They had a little store inside with downstairs for clothes & knick-knacks- main level was foods & snacks, syrup, cheese & butter. A must stop!!
