"Normally, the five-year average here is 87 tons/ha, and now with the drip, the same fields we're averaging over 110 tons/ha, which is a huge inspiration for anyone."– Bruce Nicholson, South Africa
Bruce Nicholson is a relative newcomer to #drip irrigation, but after his average #sugarcane yields increased from 87 tons to 110 tons per hectare, he has become a believer. This South African farmer has implemented much more that drip irrigation – he uses Netafim’s cutting edge technology to get the most from his fields. https://youtu.be/iNbFxEL0_tw

"With the use of #drip irrigation, we've seen an incline in yields; yields moving from 70 to 80 tons per hectare with sprinkler irrigation to 100 to 120 tons per hectare under drip irrigation."
#ZZ2 is a South African agricultural group that grows fruits and vegetables. They began working with Netafim almost 25 years ago, and have seen yields increase by more than 20 tons per hectare. Today ZZ2 farms over 3800 hectares of #tomatoes, #avocados, #mangoes and #onions – all with drip irrigation.

Growing rice with drip irrigation can prove that rice roots are not lazy!
Farmers have been growing #rice in paddies for centuries, but it has always been a labor intensive and ineffective way of farming. It was always thought that rice has lazy roots, so this is the only way to grow it. Netafim thought differently, and for over a decade we've been growing rice with #drip irrigation.

Did you know that SDI can give years of healthy corn yields?
Subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) does not only bring large, healthy and uniform corn yields, it does so for many years – without ever having to remove and reinstall the drip lines. Proper installation will ensure many years of profitable crops – and drastically reduced labor costs.
Contact our experts to find out how SDI can give your crops a multi-year solution.

Your crops may be doing just fine and not need irrigation, or they may be in dire need of water and #nutrients. Here we see Netafim agronomist Dr. Ami Gips installing our #soil   sensors in a North Carolina field. These sensors will consistently tell the farmer what the soil needs in order to optimize crop performance.

From modest beginnings in a small desert community, Netafim has revolutionized farm irrigation. And while its drip irrigation pipes may look like simple tubes with holes in it, that is simply not the case. Each dripper contains development, technology and innovation, and the results are being seen all over the world.
