The scene: 3rd floor microkitchen at Google Seattle, Parkview building. I am making my morning iced tea. Kitchen worker is filling bins with ice and fruit for the juice bar (let's not get into it about the presence of the juice bar).

Me: Excuse me, can I sneak in there for just a moment to get some ice?

Kitchen worker: Oh, sorry!

Me: Nothing to be sorry about, I'm the one getting in your way.

Kitchen supervisor: Just a moment. What's that from? [hum-sings briefly]...It only takes a moment... Of course! Hello Dolly.

KW: What's that?

KS: OH. MY. GAWD. No you did not!?

KW: What? I'm not from here.

KS: It's only, like, the greatest musical EVER. Well, the greatest starring Barbra Streisand anyway.

KW: I'll have to watch it sometime.

KS: YES! Yes you will.

This slice from Big Mario's in Freelard is so beautiful I'm breaking my "no pictures of food" rule!

Seeing Paula Poundstone at the Moore in Seattle. Not a good space for selfies, so here's the lovely historic ceiling.

Jen rightly notes that this is the whitest show we've ever been to. And being Seattle that's up against some pretty stiff competition. Not sure what to do with that, but there it is.

I'm a bit obsessed with wooden boxes for game stuff right now. If that's your kind of thing too, check out this Kickstarter from Aaron Cain. He's an excellent craftsman (I have a couple of his other things and can attest to the quality) and is making great things for gamers. Have a look!
