We are deeply saddened by the loss of George Martin. As well as being an exceptional producer, George was passionate about musical education and played an instrumental role in making the idea of LIPA a reality from the very beginning. He brought our co-founders, Mark Featherstone-Witty and Paul McCartney together, and without his influence we wouldn’t be who we are today.

On November 21, 1963, a group of young marines are gathered in San Francisco the night before they ship off to Vietnam. They decide to celebrate their last night of freedom with a cruel game they call a “dogfight” where every man sets out to find the ugliest girl he can and brings her to a party. Everyone puts in money, and the man with the ugliest date wins the pot. One of the young men taking part is Eddie Birdlace, who is running out of time to find a date when he meets idealistic waitress Rose Fenny in a diner. He invites her to the party – her very first party – and she accepts.

She leaves angrily when she finds out about the bet and Eddie, feeling bad, comes to find her. After an inauspicious beginning, an awkward love story begins to unfold.

A play by Beth Henley
A comedy about dealing with sisters, and loving them no matter what they do.

Lenny, Meg and Babe are three sisters from hurricane torn Mississippi, who’ve had their fair share of heartbreak and trouble. Today, on Lenny’s birthday, everything is about to get a whole lot worse, as the sisters are reunited in their family home. Babe has shot her husband, Meg’s back from Hollywood and nobody has remembered poor Lenny’s cake. Somebody had better make some lemonade before things get really bad.

By William Shakespeare

Witness Shakespeare’s classic comedy as it is relocated to modern London. It is the night of the most anticipated General Election where the successful party celebrates their victory at the incredibly exclusive Club Messina. Full of love, laughs, songs and shouts – both legal and ‘less legal’, Much Ado About Nothing is examined under a new light by exploring why they don’t just call it political, but a political party.
