Welcome to my creative world. It’s colorful, fun and a little dizzy. Just like a carousel. Hop on!

Great to be working with Dan Magazu +Framingham State University again and with +Moth Design. I learned so much about the history of Boston's Garment District writing this latest feature. I love this writing gig. http://bit.ly/FSUfeature

Tackling a #memoir draft at Grub Street Writers was transformative, joyful, difficult, and painful. I loved every minute of it. Hear me read from my work at their Spring Open House. http://bit.ly/sharing-writing

A word, a hammock, a stand of pines, a quiet moment by Lake Winnipesaukee, and a breeze. That’s all it took to trigger my logophilia. Read the new genre of love poem--wordship--that developed. #poem #poetry

Grub Street Writers' "Six Weeks, Six Poems," helped me workshop this poem about the threads that connect generations. Thanks +Grub Street Writers, and thanks Lien Nguyen, my mother-in-law, for photographing the actual Mandarin's Robe depicted in the #poem.

We hold on to those who have passed, trying to keep them alive, in a way. We live. We fulfill. We honor them.

I love when my professional world mixes with my personal passions. I wrote this piece on BHCC’s Black History Month Celebrations. #Poetry is featured throughout!

The Mary L. Fifield Art Gallery hosted an evening of poetry (and a collage workshop) led by award-winning visual and performance artist L’Merchie Frazier.

Actors from the Oscar Micheaux Family Theater Program performed “Our History Is No Mystery,” portraying Langston Hughes reading his poem, “Mother to Son.”

And Beverly Morgan-Welch, Executive Director of the Museum of African American History, talked specifically about a book of #poems published in 1773 by an enslaved Boston woman.

If everyone gets 15 minutes of fame, I have already had mine. It was my fourth grade #spellingbee , and it has a lasting effect on my career as a writer. Here’s why: http://bit.ly/spellchecking. #onwriting
