I came here for lunch with my girlfriend and cousin and ordered the Deluxe Tonkotsu Ramen. This ramen place is probably my favorite in San Francisco right now because of all the ingredients they put into the ramen, the service, and the decorations in the restaurant. The noodles were delicious and had a nice chew to them. The broth was very flavorful and rich. We also asked for garlic and they gave us a garlic press.I liked how you could press your own fresh garlic cloves. The chashu was tender but the pork belly wasn't as good as the chashu. I liked that this ramen came with corn because my girlfriend's favorite food is corn and probably made this place one of our favorites. The egg was runny just the way I like it but everyone else at my table had an overcooked egg. Sucks for them =P. I'll probably come back often to eat the Deluxe Tonkotsu Ramen.

Pretty good ramen - tonkatsu broth and charsu each need some work (especially the chasu, but maybe I just got a bad piece)- but tomago and noodles are each very well prepared. More 'everything' Japanese restaurant vs. a straight up ramen joint (which does not seem that popular in the U.S.). A wide selection of Izakaya type dishes too. Good service and reasonable prices.

Came here for lunch during the J-pop festival. It was a really nice and well decorated place. Service was good and fast. I had the deluxe tonkotsu ramen with the spicy miso paste (not spicy at all). The broth was very savory and flavorful. The pork was soft and tender. The EGG had tons of flavor which was a good surprise. Overall pretttttttttttty good ramen. I'd give it 4 stars but I feel they messed up on one of the key components - the noodles. My noodles were under cooked and were too chewy for my liking. The portions were also too small for the price. 13$ and I was hungry 10 minutes after eating. I feel like noodles are cheap, just throw a bunch in there to fill us up. I'd come back again to give it another shot, especially cause there aren't too many great ramen places in the city (or have yet to find). Must haves: THAT EGG

We decided to try the new ramen restaurant. The noodle broth was cooked for more than 12 hours. It has a lot of rich flavors. The noodle was done right, not too soggy. Priced reasonably which is similar to other restaurants in Japantown. I also love the sashimi salad. It's a big bowl of yummy salad and fresh fish. So worth it for less than $10 I think. I'm excited about the new ramen place in the neighborhood.

Right at the edge of J-Town, one might be weary to go to the first Ramen place they see. This one however, is a good bet, and the ramen is wonderful. They allow for quite a bit of customization with your meal, and it makes it an enjoyable experience. Definitely a must try!

The usual disclaimer when it comes to Japanese food: I'm super picky. I can't say Waraku had really awesome ramen, but there was one surprise element that warranted a 4-star review. I got the tonkotsu broth ramen (there are only 3 choices). The broth was decent, but not as thick as it should be. The noodles were average, nothing to rave about there. Chashu, good, not amazing. What made this meal so awesome? THE PORK BELLY. Definitely get that. You'll wish you got two orders of it.
