Látogatóink megszokhatták már, hogy Mikulás apó rendre nálunk tartja a nagy ajándékosztást megelőző főpróbát. Így lesz ez most is! Aki december 1-én és 2-án kilátogat hozzánk, találkozhat a Mikulással, sőt ajándékot is kap tőle!
Vasárnap pedig izgalmas Állatvarázs Vetélkedőn vehetnek részt 2-5 fős csapatok. A játékhoz tesztlapot a bejáratnál osztunk vasárnap 9-11 óra között, a döntő megmérettetés 12 órakor lesz a Varázshegyben! Az első helyezett csapat tagjai állatkerti bérletet, a 2. és 3. helyezett csapatok állatkerti belépőket, a 4-10. helyezett állatos DVD-filmet, illetve újságot kapnak ajándékba.

Very disappointed and shocked to be honest, the Japanese pond life area contained dead fish, apart from that the majority of the animals in the zoo looked miserable and their living conditions were atrocious. Once we finally came to terms with that the petting area was next and came fully equipped with a chainsaw, power cables leading to an extension lead and power tools all within reach of children and the animals (see photos) we informed a member of the zoo but they attempted to ignore before acknowledging the danger and moving it less than a meter away from its current position. Apart from that I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it appear it was undergoing renovation or destruction I'm not 100% sure.

I would not recommend going. The enclosures were small and not very clean. The aquarium tanks needed cleaning, the water in all the ponds was filthy. The sea lion pool was a mess and needed a major renovation. Some of the animals looked in poor shape. Clearly the entrance fee is not used for zoo maintenance.

I love animals and if you are visiting Budapest this is the best place for enthusiasts, adventurers or travellers! They have a huge collection of reptiles, bone fishes and lots lots of fluffy and not so delightful unique species.

Highlights of Budapest Zoo: Sealion show with trainers is definitely worth seeing. There are four lion cubs and a recently born elephant (April 2013). Makis (ring-tailed lemurs) wander freely inside one of the houses. You can feed some of the more farm-like animals (you will need 100ft coins to do this). Metro line M1 takes you nearby, and the zoo has all the usual refreshments available from kiosks.

It's worth visiting if you like animals and exotic plants. There are collections of animals from all over the world. Also you can feed some of them. I was so exited. Flora and fauna of the Budapest Zoo amaze.
