8 am Pacific (11 am Eastern) to 3 pm (6 pm Eastern)

Our new office number will be available on Wednesday after 12 pm Pacific.  I will be posting that number on our website and in an email blast by end of Wednesday business day, Pacific time.

In the meantime, please reach me here, or via cell phone if you have that number.  We're still getting through lots of paperwork to get everything updated and office movers coming in tomorrow, Tuesday, but by Thursday of this week, prior to the holiday weekend, we should be mostly up to date.

If you want to know more about my background, I've been doing SEO since 1997.  I was teaching a seminar about how to do research on the Internet for a local chamber of commerce in November of 1997.  In that class, an auto dealership owner asked me why my website was ranked in the top of the search engines (Altavista, Lycos, Hotbot, Infoseek, and Northern Light) for keywords related to my business.  It took six months for me to fine-tune my algorithm and know how to better respond to that question, but I developed an algorithm that enabled a site to rank for its keyword phrases within two weeks in May of 1998.   In the past 17 1/2 years, I've continued to refine my SEO and now AdWords algorithms on how to acquire a customer using SEO, social media and AdWords (Google Pay Per Click or PPC).

I started speaking on SEO in 1998 locally, then was invited to speak at some of the major search marketing conferences (then Incisive Media, Danny Sullivan & Chris Sherman's conferences) starting in 2001.  My first SES conference was in Dallas on "Measuring Success".  +Greg Boser +Danny Sullivan +Chris Sherman 

I've led SEO campaign & AdWords campaign audits and PPC management & restructuring for major companies including Burt's Bees, Levenger, SpaFinder Magazine, Collin Street Bakery, Carrington College (formerly Western Career College), MicroCenter.  My SEO & PPC AdWords automated audit software has audited over 500 brands in the past 18 months.  

I've spoken at over 45 national & international SES & SMX conferences on Measuring Success (analytics), Mobile advertising, AdWords Audits and how to do SEO for database driven websites.  

I've developed and taught a syllabus at The Ohio State's Fisher College of Business in 2007 & 2008.  

I've coached 30+ interns in the past 10 years, many of whom have gone onto great careers in SEO & PPC management.  

I've led & continue to lead executive retreats in California for small business owners & executives on how to improve their SEO & AdWords campaigns.  

And, I'm hosting a free 30-minute Basics of SEO & How to Conduct a Basic SEO Audit & Keyword Research Project this Friday (10/10/14), from 12 - 12:30 Pacific on G+.  Sign up for that event if interested.

Here's my go-to SEO metatag documentation in Google Docs/Google Drive.  Before you make changes to your page titles, meta description, keywords and/or page headings, document before/after and date of implementation.  That way, as you are tracking your organic ranking in Bizwatch SEO reports, you can make sure your changes are getting picked up and having a positive affect on your Google SEO rankings.
Do your keyword research first, benchmark your SEO visibility & compare with your top ranked SEO competitors.  Then, re-write your metatags.  Benchmark & document it in Google Docs/Drive spreadsheets.  Here's a link to a free metatag document.  Do before/after and date of implementation.  Copy & rename and it's super easy collaboration.
