For more than 25 years, Margie has worked for residential & commercial real estate developers in the Southeast. A brief detour expanded her marketing achievements, opening a retail business in Florida in 1996. Within 5 years, her business ranked in the top 5% of U.S. based on annual sales. She was honored as Small Business Person of the Year in 1998 by Governor Jeb Bush.
After profitably selling her business in the mid 2000's, her real estate passion pulled her back into the industry. She has worked for real estate developers in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee and Central America.
When the real estate bubble burst in 2007, she saw the need for more transparency in the market. Obtaining appraisal, real estate and mortgage licenses in Florida helped her understand real estate risks and rewards from several perspectives.
In 2011, at the risk of being politically incorrect, she created Real Estate Scorecard scoring master planned communities in the Southeast providing factual information in a report card fashion to help buyers. Property owners also score their community sharing their first hand experiences.
Her team travels each month to a different state in the South searching for the best master planned communities. It is her hope buyers reading her scores and comments will learn critical information they should know before purchasing property.
