This might be of interest to low-income students, sheltered women, anyone who doesn't want to use roaming data on smartphone - folks who need Internet info without a data plan or WiFi connection. Going old school with info updates and Internet interaction with free, txt-only communication.

The i3 window manager for Linux (pretty much any distribution) is an awesome tiling interface for low-power machines. I currently have it as one of the window managers on a first-gen Chromebook running Xubuntu - sweet and pretty responsive. Still has the X-Windows display system running to support GUI-based applications (Chromium Browser, etc.) Could be very handy to have on a minimal install server with basic X-Windows.

A "free" deal (as a past subscriber and purchaser of services/goods) - looks like an interesting bundle of training materials.
